Breton vs High Elf Magicka Sorc?

Going to give this game another go and try and hang in here this time.

Looking to roll a magicka sorc and like the way Breton's look. Is there a huge difference in performance due to the racials (mostly PVP)?

    High elf I think does a bit more damage due to the Passives

    Breton are notable weaker in terms if dps...trust me I have a magblade breton and rolled to high elf and it's a huge difference. Breton are a lot tankier against magika damage though.

    But sure if you are a casual then you can play Redguard or Breton magsorc, it ain't problem.

    I'd say it makes a bigger difference than spell resistance when you're most likely going to be shield stacking on a sorc. Or is it the 1% AP gain that makes Breton a better option for PvP sorc?

    For PvE it's definitely High Elf by a mile.
    For PvP the difference is not really huge and both are good races for mag sorcs. Some of the best sorcs on PC EU are High Elfs, some others are Breton. It doesn't matter that much.

    As a snobby high elf I'm just here looking at all of you, rolling my eyes and quite disgusted we are compared to Bretons. We are the most beautiful and powerful race in Tamriel. Don't make me go all Mannimarco on you! Lol

    High Elf for dps ( higher recov and elemental dmg)
    Breton for tanking ( higher reduced cost and spell resist)

    either will work just fine tho

    So for an overall PVP experience I'd pick Breton. Now if you want to min-max dps pick any other elf race.

    For PVP Breton has 1% extra AP gain. No big deal but it's a plus.

    Extra spell resistance that doesn't get affected by battle spirit unlike elves damage bonuses AFAIK so it helps alot for extra survivality.

    Extra reduce magicka cost, a little plus... But it's HUUUGE passive according to SOZ combat lead.

    Also elven races look ugly as f. at least for me LOL.

    PvE it would be Altmer hands down. The extra elemental damage, and the bonus regeneration, make it a no brainer.

    But for mostly PvP, as you mentioned? The extra spell resistance will be useful, and the spell cost reduction won't hurt either. Plus you like the aesthetics of the Bretons better, which is a point worth considering also.

    So for you? Breton, definitely.
    Why be normal when you can be better?

    I don't understand this math (honest question). The only 3x skill in the game is force pulse and it counts as 3 separate hits at once, so total damage gain is still 4%.

    Say base is 3x100 = 300
    Passive bonus would be 3x104 = 312
    % gained 12/300 = 4%
