250-300 try playing with 500ish
It would be nice but not enough of us to make it happen.
With high traffic though my local exchange and packet loss, there are times of the day it's best to avoid ESO. Up to a 3 second delay waiting on a skill to activate is tough. I've even died in the spikes. A local server would be under 50 ms but like I said, there's not enough of us to warrant that.
It's a shame as it such a great game.
OR they could work on bringing the European server up to American standards aswell.
We all want what's best for ourselves but in the end it's all wishful thinking.
If you're playing an MMO that comes from America, outside of America, you will always be considered a second rank player.
Atleast this is what my experience with numeroues American MMOs dictate.

I'm pretty sure they is enough of us to play not to mention the countless people Ive spoken to that I play mmos with that say I would love ot play ESO and I gave it ago love it but the lag is insane and I cant compete and thus they go play wow or whatever has an oceanic server. Never forget that if your one of the oceanic players on the US server you are the minority that put up with it most dont, most leave and find something else.

I did leave for a while but the ping was good back then and it didn't miss a beat. Only been the past 3 months it's been hard to play at times. Thing is I still want to play as I really like the current content.

How do you know an oceanic serer would be filled? Many current Oceanic players have friends on the server they currently play on. This is clear since even with an EU server there are many in the EU that play on the NA server.
Additionally, it would require multiple servers since consoles and PC will not be on the same server. PCs have a sound advantage over consoles.

Is this to much to ask for in this day an age? you give away a million dollars but cant and wont bring up an oceanic server...if ESO is trying to make an impact in the mmo space it needs to draw in players and have a substantial player base, I'm sorry but I dont see it going anywhere if it cant do this simple thing.

It is not really a simple thing.
Besides, I expect that 1 million dollars won't go as far as one might think, when you have to have three Oceanic servers, which means a rented raised floor location, an ISP connection, and all the hardware. We are not talking about picking up a quad core Dell and throwing it into the corner of some broom closet with a long ethernet cable to the accounting firm next door.

Right but you act as if there is no generated income from such an endeavour lol wounder why wow and other mmos offer an Australian/oceanic server? cause its untapped and opens up the game to an entirely new for the most part player base.
