There is no reason for Zos to have a field that determines if someone is able to use a crafting station or not. It would require more work that the more obvious direction and that is merely they have enough traits since access to an area is taken care of by other means.
Not being condescending, but it's the logic approach Zos would have taken.
nope, if they let you craft sets in your home they may as well just delete the crafting stations which would remove something unique about crafting in this game. Part of what makes crafting enjoyable is the process. the more easy you make it, the less rewarding it is. And we shouldn't be able to do everything in our home and need reasons to get out in the world.
Would still need the craft stations in the wild in order to discover them and for those who may not want a craft station in their house. As for me, I would be a lot more willing to craft for people if it didn't require running all over Tamriel.
You're talking like you work at ZOS or something lol. None of us have any idea exactly how their "database" works because we aren't the ones developing it.

They all work very similarly. And that person is talking right out of their arse. It would be incredibly basic.
We know for a fact that the game's database records which crafting stations you've visited - they display differently on the map depending on whether you have or haven't.
We know for a fact that the game knows which maps you have access to. For DLC maps you either own those or are subscribed.
So we know for a fact that what you've proposed would be incredibly simple to implement. Check those two conditions and if satisfied, display that set as an option for crafting.
Why not, if it's behind an eso+ perk or something like
2 traits requirement craft station = 200 wood to craft the table/woodworking station
3 traits requirement craft station = 300 wood to craft the table/woodworking station
..
9 traits requirement craft station = 900 wood to craft the table/woodworking station
same for iron and the anvil.
It'll keep junior and week end crafters away bcause having to spend 500 , then maybe 700, then maybe 900 wood is a huge investment. Only motivated and OCD will have this. (and it'll raise price of mats too).

And believe me, crafting Kagrenacs in a different level every few days is very annoying. How often do you find yourself crafting a set? Is it so frequent that you have lost the joy of traveling Tamriel, and taking in its various wonders and sights?
