Idk if this is the right place for this but, changing inner fire and it's morphs

What im thinking is changing inner fire and its morphs (or possible even one of the morphs) to an aoe taunt maybe 5 or 8 meters.
They could even nerf the damage on it or completely remove it.

Just being able to taunt a group of enemies as a tank would be alot better on resources.

Just a thought though

    if I'm not mistaken they said there wont add a aoe taunt to the game but could be wrong

    Exchanging the only range taunt we have for an aoe taunt would be horrible. In trials you often work with 2 tanks and have every tank take certain enemies. Often tanks have to use range taunts to seperate the enemies (best example is 2nd boss in Maw of Lorkhaj)
    Additionally there are situations, where it's useful if a dd/healer has a taunt on his back bar to move single enemies to specific spots. Usually they don't slot 1h/shield for this, but just use inner fire. Now imagine what happens if inner fire wouldn't just taunt the mob next to the boss, but also the boss himself. (good example is Dragonstar Arena last boss).

    Inner Fire is an important taunt as-is, and shouldn't change. I am not against adding an AoE taunt of sorts, though.

    I used to believe we did not need more than the two taunts we have, but that was before the incessant lag hit so badly that the enemies don't always appear visibly. Since both taunts are targeted, the tank cannot taunt what he cannot see.

    AoEs work on invisible enemies, though... So our tank still would have been able to taunt the invisible axes in Hel Ra last night, for example.

    So if the lag won't be fixed, please give us access to a taunt that acts like an AoE. Heck, it can be set to only work on a limited number of target(s) in the AoE for all I care. Just let it work on invisible things.

    If it was 1/3 less expensive or had a synergy that actually did something it might be something more than a backbar skill for two infrequent situations.

    Another AoE taunt thread...

    Adding an AoE taunt would diminish the value of tanking in ESO. Already the point of tanking is to hold priority targets (not all targets) while simultaneously providing support for the group. With enough experience and good gear, holding literally everything is not hard to do, and many of us do hold everything. However, that is not ZOS's take on tanking. They want us to pick the major threats and keep them off the group, who should then be focusing on other targets.

    You can already use any AoE skill as to gain initial aggro. After you grab their initial aggro, you should be puncturing the primary targets whom you want to control. Adding an AoE forced taunt would make tanking in this game mind-numbingly dull. There would be almost no effort involved in being a tank, and I'd wager every group would just take another dps who uses that taunt and a full dps rotation. Basically, AoE taunts are lazy. It should not be added, else the concept of priority targets, group positioning, and mechanics would suffer.

    Tanking in this game is already brain dead easy compared to other game's tanking .... please don't make it even more brain dead with an AOE taunt.

    I'd say make it a little cheaper, maybe let it affect enemies with major breach / major fracture, and maybe even increase the damage a little, it might have some use outside of taunting then.

    But AoE taunt? No sorry

    I use deep breath as my AOE taunt. I simply sprint in to the middle of a mob, cast that to hit them all gaining aggro, then single taunt any that decide to seek a new target. As stated above, leave our range taunt be.

    There is no need for an AoE taunt. Any tank worth his grit can be easily control a group of enemies with little effort. This game doesnt need to turn into an aoe fuckfest where all you do is spam aoe taunts and steel tornado.
