Homestead Crafting - allow Sets to be crafted?

Player Housing will grant players the opportunity to stick all of the crafting stations in one place. It is pretty convenient, but one issue is that you can pretty much already enjoy this by porting to certain cities such as Shornhelm (granted a house is likely easier).
If crafting stations in our home allowed us to craft all of the Crafted Sets, then it would be a very convenient and appreciated addition to ESO.
Keep in mind - this could be implemented in a few different ways. It could be required for players to have discovered the given crafting station location in the world, or even for us to pay extra gold to upgrade the home crafting station to allow Set Crafting.
Either way, the concept is the same. We no longer have to ride far away and waste time whenever we want to craft sets.
Would you like player homes to allow Crafted Sets found throughout Tamriel to become craftable at your home stations?
I've heard from players in-game and have gotten mostly "Yes" answers. Was wondering was the Forums community thinks about something like this.

RavenSworn✭✭✭✭✭MaybeWhat I think is a good middle ground is you can choose one crafted set station to be available to you and the ability to change that set only after paying through your teeth for it. Or a quest that unlocks the crafting station but requiring lots of ingame gold.

✭✭✭YeahI wouldn't mind if they made it so you could only craft sets that you have crafted before, and still can(DLC needed on DLC sets after sub runs out)
As it is home crafting stations for equipment anyway will be decon only. No one that has played the game for any amount of time would make non set pieces for anything other than research.
This would also likely benefit the playerbase in general too. How often as a crafter have you ignored someone who's looking because you didn't want to run all over god'sZOS's creation making gear? Especially with the locations on some of the, intentionally put out of the way. Non-craftable sets like Spriggan should never be allowed to be crafted. That would definitely keep people from leaving their homes.
I don't think allowing craftable sets in the home would keep people from exploring. First, I'm sure you would have to discover the set location first to "unlock" it. And beyond that honestly, how often does it get you out and about currently? Most people spend their time farming non-craftable sets because, let's face it, craftable sets are mostly lacking compared to them. And on the odd occasion that I see a request in guild chat it is for something annoying like Clever Alchemist so I just quietly pretend I am not there. Currently, since I have discovered all crafting stations and my characters are in their highest level gear, I never visit those stations anymore. But if I had home access, I would definitely be willing to help out people in the guild that requested some set gear.1 -

Part of what makes crafting enjoyable is the process. the more easy you make it, the less rewarding it is. And we shouldn't be able to do everything in our home and need reasons to get out in the world.3 -

I'd take it either way. If they allow all potential crafted sets to be made into stations in your home then you can pick and choose the sets you craft most which would differ from those found in other homes and encourage you to visit others.0 -

Deconstruction? I do my selling/deconning at the same time anyway. Need to go to merchant for that.

That point does this serve I craft for low levels all the time I take the shortest path and pass everything unless it's a Columbine or enchant node cause well Kuta but its not like I fight on my way to or from I don't enjoy the view I made what they need and get. Then back to the action this would make life better and make me more likely to help a guy out.

Beyond the obvious of trait research, some stations are unlocked via completion of specific quest lines and of course access to a DLC zone.
The current database setup doesn't have to take this into concern since the character can either access the area or not. The change may not be that easy.0 -

You're talking like you work at ZOS or something lol. None of us have any idea exactly how their "database" works because we aren't the ones developing it.
As far as I'm concerned, they just need to add the option for Sets to be craftable at a crafting station. They could even make it so you can purchase copy/pasted crafting stations like a Magnus Crafting Station (blacksmithing, clothing, woodworking) in your home rather than a normal Crafting Station, and let us place tons of different Crafting Stations in a massive home.
It's likely significantly easier than you think. There's just the choice of whether or not this feature should be added to worry about.

Lol. No, I don't work for Zos but I do build databases.
There is no reason for Zos to have a field that determines if someone is able to use a crafting station or not. It would require more work that the more obvious direction and that is merely they have enough traits since access to an area is taken care of by other means.

✭✭YeahOne way it could work, and I apologize if this was already brought up by someone else, is that you must have the required amount of traits for whichever specific set station you want. For example if you want to craft an Armor Master blacksmithing station you much have all 9 traits researched for all armor and weapons. But to craft a Julianos clothier station you must have at least 6 traits researched for all light and medium armor.0 -
bigted209✭✭✭YeahI run 11 characters total, one of which is my dedicated crafter. My crafter stays static in the craft area of ghratwood 99.9% of the time, only leaving to craft set gear and turn in crafting writs. I am certainly not alone in this.... Average daily total time spent on my crafter, 10 minutes or so. The only time it's longer than that is when I have to port all over to make set gear...loading screens and the like. I can't for the life of me see why that character of mine "being out in the world" amounts to anything remotely useful. Had I the stations in my home where my crafter would be parked, I would in theory have more time to run my playable characters and do the content that spurs ZOS' character demographic statistics.
Needless to say, 100% yes let me craft sets in my home, however it needs to be implemented.2
