My Bad idea getting better with your input

So here's my bad idea for improving Cyrodiil .

1) Make the quests for objectives worth 5X's more AP and 3X's more gold . The quests for capture and spying spread people all over the map , but the AP is nothing compared to camping one place for Defence tics .

2) Make resource and town captures only worth points one time to a faction per eval period . If a faction does not take those resources at least once , no points but the quests for them will always provide AP and gold at the new higher values . This discourages resource flipping exploitation .

3) Make Defence tics only available to those that kill at least one enemy player in a fight or heal those players . No AP for AFK players anymore .

4) Give AP for rezzing players and laying camps down assisting your faction . Only one AP reward per player per eval though to avoid exploitation .

5) Open IC up to all players and make it apart of getting Empororship . Simply remove the ability to collect Tel Var stones for players that did not purchase the expansion . No DLC , no reward but it should have a reason for being in Cyrodiil .

TLDR Summarry

More rewards for PvP capture quests
More incentive to spread out
Make IC viable
Avoid exploitation

That's all my bad idea . Feel free to tear it apart .

Edited to add healing for Defence tics . Only non participants excluded .

    don't be silly @Rohamad_Ali ...anyone whom thinks you have a bag full of bad ideas is reading some other forum...

    point 1 - heck yes, something needs to make us feel like we need to go there - i love town fights, I rarely participate in them though...

    point 2 - i'm not sure I 100% get, definitely could be me...

    point 3 - sorry, but heck's no, ported into arrius the other day, walked out the inner keep front door and collected 15k - that felt real good...wouldn't want to lose that occasionally happening...I try to keep my eye on the map, just for that kind of stuff...

    point 4 - sounds very reasonable...

    point 5 - touchdown - hands down one of the best thoughts I've read in awhile...we really need this - badly, makes total sense...

    rewards boosts, maybe to include some method for acquiring advanced weapons (vMA equivalents)...opening IC to the general public (absolutely love!!!), sorry if just purchased the dlc, but, this seems key to its life...I would throw in making it it's own unique map so as not to skew pops in cyro...

    incenticising (is that even a word?) players to spread out...hmmmmm, I would say the outposts and bridge are illustrating what "the people" really want...

    I liked your story of your mom's stare of shame...that was super funny and oh so familiar :)

    I might get flamed for this but i just wished they reverted IC back tó how it was i loved the mindless warzone arena district once was just because it was so dífferent amd their were always loads of people fighting or some even just hanging out.

    Game never felt more alive to me as it did back then since they turned it into another capture the flag thingy they destroyed the emtire DLC imo

    It's like you plucked those very words from my soul...nothing else in the game has ever felt like the old arena district...

    I think what made it so special was the ease you could respawn on those two EP and DC platforms facing each other...

    playing DC - used to love to hang out on those cages in stealth firing up at the EP platform, or, wait for them to come done engage a little - then start shooting them in the back...

    did about the same playing EP...playing AD had to come up with a "bomb" build to jump in the middle between DC and EP...

    learned how to block, dodge roll, cc, snare and most importantly understand zerg momentum and combat flow...

    after spending months and endless hours there - fighting in cyro was easy mode...

    it was great, total chaos, then about 100 meters away all the different alliances would be kicking back chilling and casually dueling...every once in a while, someone would do something stupid and a wild melee would ensue...

    I'm hoping "battlefields" will one day bring that exhilarating feeling back to pvp

    Yes exactly loved it so much and when i first went there i thought i hated PVP in but it changed my mind on that.
    Normal Cyrodiil is completely different and i understand that there are people that prefer it over what IC was but that was the beauty of it both were possible.

    Now the only time i go to IC is if i need a rune for a tri-stat glyph which is kinda sad if you think about it.
    It had some performance issues at prime times but it's not like that was IC fault since we have that everywhere now besides IC because there is nobody there.

    I'm not sure what battlefields means since ESO is my only multiplayer experience besides gta but looking forward to them now :)

    the rewards have always been lackluster, hardly worth doing them for XP, but when theres nothing going on map wise, they give something to do

    Thank you for added suggestions and critism . All are helpful . The goal I have is maximizing map use with minimum exploitable situations .

    Most of my posts nowadays are riddled with this rhetoric. I am not sure about the PC community but on console these players are obsessed with AP. The only way to #MAKECYROGREATAGAIN is to change how AP is gained and tie it to objectives. I have a lot of ideas on how they could do it, I've even PM'd ole Wrobel himself and got a favorable reply. Still haven't seen anything happen in game though. I wouldn't imagine some changes to how the AP numbers work and how certain bonuses work would call for that much manpower, but I'm not privy to ZOS workload either. It would nice if they'd just let us know they recognize what's going on, at least.

    Yes the reward system is what drives players . If more AP is made camping then no need to spread out . They must address rewards . This is why the quest system in place can be overhauled to make them worth doing . A major complaint is the lack of gold in Cyrodiil . Players can make so much more just grinding PVE locations . Increasing gold for quests is incentive to stay and play map objectives . Making the AP equal to the time camping a outpost for D tics also incentive to organize and take objective quests instead .

    The rewards for weaponry and armor could most certainly use an overhaul with current sets in PVE being more attractive . Adding new ones to vendors gives AP a fresh value again and would compliment the questing system .

    Quest givers giving objectives to take relevant to the current ownership of keeps and outposts with improved AI would also be of good use . Not sending people rediculous far for objective but somewhere in between . Scouting missions are good for far away objectives but should have increased rewards for long travel times in my opinion . This is good lore wise as well because intelligence is valuable information to General's .

    5. I'd rather see IC have it's own pop count and be detached, but if it's part of the emperorship game it needs to be fully integrated into Cyro, including sewer doors that don't port you back to base so you can travel through the sewers to the other side of the map.

    I agree. Winning campaigns should matter and so should keep ownership. Better rewards for winning is needed. Increase in gold is a good idea too.

    Short list of quality improvements IMO.
    • Better rewards from Cyro Quests including a lot more gold and AP.
    • Replace the Home Keep bonus with the Blessing of War bonus.
    • Get rid of "D ticks" and replace with defensive/offensive bonus AP on kills. (Like Domination objective kills in FPS games)
    • Make scrolls worth more..
    • Introduce PvP equivalent master/vma weapons and be able to earn them if on winning team, smaller percentage if on second place team, no chance for losers.

    There are a lot of people with a lot of good ideas. Oh if ZOS knew the potential of their own game..

    You are right and healing should be included AP Defence tics .

    I personally don't think they will ever remove IC from Cyrodiil even I have supported that so I suggested the next best thing to keeping their population relevant within campaigns . I understand not everyone will agree though .

    4) I think you should get AP for each friendly that resurrects there

    5) IC needs a portal so you don't have to ride there. Even better there should just be an IC campaign so we can see population in there before we make the trip.

    The sewers below the districts need more incentive than just farming tel-var. I love going in the sewers, but there's nobody ever down there.

    Tel-var should be double drops just like the event.

    IC needs an elite vendor with rotating gear just like the golden.

    quick question: when it comes to what "most" mmo's do - how long is it before their first expansion will become free (part of the basic sale)? 2 or 3 years?

    I really liked the idea of being able to move around cyro by tunnel...getting together a couple (or three :)) groups in the sewers is fun...plus, anything to lessen the time on your mount would be great...

    Add more than just a few flags randomly in Cyrodiil, and give players an actual reason to spread of the train track of Emp keeps.

    Cyrodiil is massive and almost none of it is used.
