White River Ice Wolf Pup - How pets SHOULD be

This might be one of the best pets ZOS has released recently, IMO. It's not constantly digging like the Bear-Dog, its cute little barks aren't loud or frequent, and it even lays down!
Many other pets are not like this...The Kindlespit Dragon Frog's fire spit is nearly ear-shattering compared to other sound effects and way too frequent. The Bear-Dog digs almost the whole time (loudly). The Dwarven Sphere I don't use on any alts because it never stops doing its loud mechanical noises. The Alliance War Dog's growl is also a bit loud and frequent for my tastes.
I don't have the lynx or the badger, so they may be good about these things too, but I just had to comment on the Wolf Pups hoping that future pets are like it.
(P.S. ZOS, please give us a pet volume slider!)

OlafdieWaldfee✭✭✭✭The badger does his "kek"-sounds very frequently, too. I like him and have im out most of the time ... but you are right - the wolf pup is way better!
The only older pets without so much loud noises are the fennek and the old dogs. But the old dogs lack teeth and are graphically generally way inferior to the newer canines.
I can´t use the echalette, even if it`s very cute. I get startled by it´s jumping-and-screeching way to often to feel comfortable with it.
The Thieves-Guild-jackal is nice, though. His digging is not too frequent.4 -

I like the Fox too. I just realized today that I had it and it's another non-intrusive one. I agree about the dogs, too.
I remember when the Echalette first came out, I'd hear it screech super loud in the bank and be like "wtf was that?" only to look down and see it.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭My favourite pet is still the Nixad, but the pup is fantastic too. I agree that it is a really well-designed pet. The animations are adorable.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.

Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.1 -
Yuls✭✭✭✭The senche cubs are pretty awesome and well animated too. And much too cute. I end up watching that little thing trying to catch butterflies way more often than I should.
Need to check out that wolf now...

I like the Nixad for its uniqueness, though it's a bit noisey for me. I'll probably still put it in my house's yard though just because it's one of a kind.The senche cubs are pretty awesome and well animated too. And much too cute. I have to second this... the Loon is brilliant. The sound it makes is more peaceful than anything else - maybe a little out of place when sneaking through a delve or Ayleid ruin but I still love it

✭✭✭✭I like the sep adder, senche, and senche cub pets. The sep adder is just cool. The senches are fairly chill, and the senche cubs make cute growls, stretch, and occasionally play with a butterfly, which is so cute!

The thing that ruins the jackal for me is the piercing squeaking when it kills the rat. I actually tried using it for a while and held out longer than I thought I would, but after a week or so I just couldn't take it anymore.
The goat noises are the best, especially the inappropriate farty noises at dramatic quest moments.

✭✭✭✭✭The black and white bear-dog used to make these CONSTANT whining sounds, every half second or so, in addition to the digging. (I don't know if the silver bear-dog did it too, since I didn't get that one.) It was so irritating that I stopped using the dog. They thankfully took away the constantly irritating sounds. You can still hear it scratching at the ground, but it's a million times less irritating than what it used to sound like. I can finally use the dog again without wanting to punch a hole in a wall.
It wasn't even realistic, since no dog in the world is that constantly noisy.
Quiet pets are the best pets.

Obviously just making these sounds less frequent would be fine, even just a setting so you can make it as often and loud as you want would work.
