Recommended DP Level for Vet Dungeons

dominic.iraceb14_ESO
I've been getting alot of crap from lower level players for when i suggest that VET dungeons should not be played by players under CP500 (minimum).. Normal is okay and can be played up to this level..

They complain and say "it should be okay... we can do it"... but you know what...WE CAN'T!! I'm only a CP432 and i'm trying to save us alot of time and energy... it's been too many times where we get to the last boss and after a few defeats, half the team abandons me!

Again, i'm just going by other players CP level... but is there a true way to determine your DPS?? I think i'm pretty good, but then when we're battling, somebody always says how our DPS sucks. Or is the best way to determine is by CP level only?

Goto - Adds a tab to the map pane allowing you to teleport to a friend, guildmate, or groupmate for free.

Are you on PC as there are addons that show your damage done and you can even put it in chat. Problem is i dont have a clue how to use it lol sorry. I installed combat metrics i think through Minion but for the life of me cant find the addon in game in the settings, its just simply not there but apparently its one addon that shows you your dps
ZOS takes cheating very Lightly. You have been warned, and any cheaters found out will get the Least punishment possible...

    DPS = Damage per Second

On PC, there are addons that will calculate this number for you. The values for single target fights, especially bosses, are more accurate than the ones in mobs, since casting AoEs against 6 targets will give you the total against the whole mob (so potentially up to 6x your single target value).

On console, addons are not an option, but you can do a DPS test. Typically this is against Bloodspawn, the Gargoyle in Spindleclutch II, and requires a healer and tank to support. Slimecraw (or whatever his name is) from Wayrest Sewers I, is growing in popularity for simpler DPS checks, since you only need a tank to hold him still.
In this case, someone times the fight, then you can take the boss' total health, divided by the total seconds to kill him, to get you DPS number.
Why be normal when you can be better?

So if i tell somebody that I do 8,000 HP of DPS, they'll determine if that is good or not? But since i do this with 2 handed, I have a 3 sec cool down, + i run out of stamina after a few swings + and then it takes forever to recovery... oh I have a bunch of problems!

Minion sometimes installs to the wrong folder, make sure it's going to the place your live ESO setting are going

Well I think you'll need to get that damage higher, and find a pattern that lets you recover as you deal damage. Like something that gives your next attack a guaranteed critical so you can use a heavy attack to recover some stamina.

It's what I do with my magicka sorcerer. Crit procs and damage overtime mean I can deal consistent damage while dropping the occasional heavy attack to recover.

500 is rather high. I've been completing non-DLC vets as heal, tank and DPS since about 150cp, and I think I was being very conservative anyway, now that I look back.

But you are right, it's more about DPS. I was tanking Spindle 2 vet last night and we simply could not get past the chaining boss as the DPS was too low to burn down the chainer before a death. The team compounded this by being rather untogether and not quickly ressing the corpse, so we could never catch up. I gave it three goes then politely called it a night.

For veteran dungeons I would say 15,000+ is the goal. The top players can get 30,000+ without external buffs. (Potions and such are permitted, of course!)

It sounds like you need to work on your sustain first. You need to find a way to not run out of stamina as quickly. Stamina potions, regeneration/cost reduction from CP or sets or jewelry, max stamina boosts, a rotation of skills and light/heavy attacks to efficiently use what you have, etc.

You can easily get 15k DPS on a 100 CP build. Maybe even less. Requiring 500 CP for a vet dungeon is basically screaming "I'm lazy and I want you to carry me".

I finished every vet dungeon hardmode, including CoS and VoM, before cp350. All 3 of my DPS meters tell me I'm consistently pulling over 50% of entire grp dps, so no I was not carried.

I did 18K dps on my stamblade the moment I reached cp160 and got my crafted gear set done, which I can confidently say is beyond reach for at least a third of ESO players regardless of their cp, as pathetic as that sounds. Now the lowest dps i can possibly pull is 35k while being half asleep and playing one handed, and I'm not even max cp.

General rule of thumb that has never ever failed me, or any of my elite guild mates from my vet trial guild, is that if someone thinks cp > skill/gear/build, they should get back to the drawing board. I basically ignore anyone who asks for any form of CP requirement, my gaming experience has never been better.

I very dislike low level and low cp guys. People perhaps cannot understand my feeling cuz they don't run random dungeon too often. I run at least 5 vet dungeon and several normal random by group finder every night. I've met tons of shxtty low level and low cp players. I cannot say all low cp/level player are bad, but most of them really suck.

I can share a true story happened several months ago. I ran random dungeon Selene's Web with 3 guys under level 20. I kindly helped them beat every boss, all adds, Solo cuz those guys did nothing, but die. At the final boss fight, when the Boss was close to 5%HP, a guy got DC, and I was executing the boss, the fxxking crown disbanded the group!!!

Then, I was kicked out from the dungeon at the moment the boss died. I got nothing. After spending my potions, my time, my energy, my passion, I got nothing. No exp, no rewards, just because the *** disbanded the group. I still don't understand why he did that, and what he thought in his silly brain at that moment?

After that day, I never trust any low level guys, and always kick those below 20.

I recomend you get a good decent build with a good powerfull set, 2 sets will make you shine and 3 sets will surely make your build do anything you want.
