Heh, not actually a bad idea. Some of the best fights I've ever had weren't around keeps, but were

    - Trying to capture the flag at a resource
    - When we took a scroll into the mountain and fought for it in there
    - Fights for control of Bruma and Cropsford
    - Alessia Bridge <3

I literally have no memorable fights at keeps, because it's usually just trying to avoid enemy siege before running inside.

Aww, that's sad @Alucardo. Keep fights can be super fun! Just a couple days ago on TF sub-primetime I was with AD defending Roe from simultaneous DC and EP assaults. Well over 100 players in total, it was an all-out blood bath.

I should also mention my connection was fine and the server was running like a champ. Earlier that day though at Alessia bridge, every time the tug-of-war bottlenecked at the door, my connection imploded.

It's cool, I like fighting in odd places. Keeps the game from becoming stagnant. Like the other day I was dueling a guy in town while we were on top of lamp posts. Because why not =D
But yeah those 3 faction fights can be fun, no matter where they are!

Ya there's definitely memorable keep fights, but I think ones in other places stick out more in memory because they don't usually occur as often.

Bruma, Glade Mine, Alessia Farm, Aleswell Town, Giant Town (north of bleakers), the mountain, the cave in that mountain between BRK and Arrius, the bridges to the east of Warden, Imperial wooden forts, Coldcorn, plus many more I'm probably forgetting at this moment.

Remove Alessia bridge from Cyrodiil and move it to the battlegrounds next year. Problem solved.

Its one of the only reasons to go to Cyro to begin with!

Sorry but it sounds like a l2p issue.

A 1.5 mbps connection is not that fast at all. You are talking like this is some kind of awesome connection and it would have been about 25 years ago but compared to today's standards that is slow. I have been able to fight at alessia bridge without any problems and obviously many other people can as well.

@Sheuib you drunk brah? Would I be here complaining if I thought my connection is awesome? True broadband providers won't run service to my area (capitalism at its finest) so I am forced to pay 5x the price for 1/100th of the speeds offered by Comcast et al.

With that said, 1.5 mbps is more than enough to play anywhere else on the map while simultaneously watching Netflix/YouTube and browsing the web on other monitors. It's not like the client is swapping nudies with the server (as far as I know...) so I don't have any other complaints about it, but those damned bridge fights can be brutal.

Almighty @ZOS_BrianWheeler, hear my plea. Save us from the bottleneck ability spam. :(

Wow yeah you're right you should be able to stream video, surf the web, and play in a highly populated area on a painfully slow connection without any problems. And, I'm the drunk person? LOL.

I was only trying to make the point that under normal circumstances that is plenty of bandwidth, it's not like I'm playing on dial-up.

My gripe is still legitimate though, that bridge bottleneck is just cruel.

That bridge claimed more soulless lives than any other structure. The stones should be discolored from all the gore.

This is a happy place for so many people!

It's the perfect place to take your bomb build and rack up all the ap as well. The ad just clump up at the base of alessia side and get nuked over and over again. I've never quite understood why ad has such a hard time holding the bridge as it feels only about 5% of my time at the bridge is actually spent attacking it and the rest is sitting there waiting for fat stacks. Would be fun to have a bg where I can do both :D

It's entirely pugs at the bridge. Any time I go there with even a small group we usually end up fighting back and forth over it :no_mouth:

Pretty much. AD will sit there until someone like myself or ex-gf etc bombs the EP hard enough for AD to push through. Not always people like that online though.

I totally agree @Lokey0024! Any chance you could lend me some startup capital to buy wholesale bandwidth from Comcast and string some fiber through my neighborhood? I only need $80-100k or so.

That's the only way my speeds are getting a boost.

You can very easily bypass the bridge to either side by jumping over the water. I only step foot on that bridge when the fighting is nowhere near it.

    ^This.

The bridge is not a chokepoint in any way shape or form. Not only can you easily jump it as described above but you can also travel downriver to the next bridge in less than a minute. Players choose to bridge fight.

On NA PC, AD would actually win every campaign if they would just stay off the bridge. I have seen many times AD will lose Alessia while they fight on the bridge. At least defend important things like roe and brindle heck even Drake.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

True story. However I think pretty much everyone is guilty of grinding EP AP at the bridge - it's a great place to test builds/rotations because you always know there will be action there.

the bridge fight is a lot of fun... for those of us who don't play on potato, it runs well and it's a lot of fun.

the problem is that it's too much fun! it detracts from the rest of cyrodiil! 2 solutions must be implemented!!!!

ONE, ADD MORE BRIDGES. That bridge fight should be the standard separation between every faction's land. If you don't want to mess with the lore and run new rivers, make one a river of lava, one a river of thicket, whatever, just replicate the bridge experience as the default barrier between each faction. BALANCE THE GEOGRAPHY

TWO, QUEUE-BASED BATTLEGROUNDS. We need to have the insta-grat. Queue up for a 10v10 arena fight.

This would effectively pull the population away from the alessia bridge and disperse it. The server load will be alleviated and the people will be happier.
