✭✭✭✭The hype is mainly around the morph that follows, Eye of the Storm.
It does over the top damage, which is why every group basically consists of a few healers, a rapid slave and a bunch of magicka builds with destro ult.
And it has no real counter, unlike the stationary morph which you can get out from pretty easy.Susano'o

Eye of the storm does way more damage (more than double the tooltip I think on my magblade), plus you have to consider that you usually use it with a fire staff, which is additional 25% dmg on vampires (which there is a lot of in Cyrodiil).Susano'o

The number of people who complained about 2 hand ultimate doesn't come close to the number of people crying of destro ultimate. It's really not as broken as people are acting.
It is only when 3+ people use it at once that it's kind of op, but shouldn't 3+ people using 250 ultimates be strong?
The cost of the ultimate should reflect it's strength.1 -

✭✭✭TBH here, the only destro ult that should be nerfed is fire Eye of the Storm. That's the only one that's annoying. Ice Staff users deserve this little toy

That pretty much sounds like the Covenant groups I've seen harassing Scourge on Xbox NA. They blob forward, annihilating a few dozen and then retreat back a ways to pull the rest of us in, only to steamroll forward again. Rinse and repeat, it's I'm sure an AP farm to them.
