Should Critical Hits come from PvE as well as PvP?

    No, I don't want this to potentially one-shot my DPSer in dungeons.
    It was already happened coz bug with sewers bosses and they simply one-shotted everything. Run in full tank build to not afraid one-shot? No, thx.

    unless its bugged, some npcs can trigger "on crits taken" events.

    There has been occasion NPCs could crit. It's been fixed for most of not all.

    I don't think many players would appreciate more RNG oneshot mechanics.

    Yeah, there's way more than enough rng in this game as it is; let's not tempt ZOS to add even more.

    If Skoria can crit for my entire health and oneshot me while blocking I expect to be able to steamroll him before that happens on a -tank-. If that's not what's going to happen then no.

    Besides, this is a massive inballance.

    Also this ruins dps gear traiting for raids like vMOl. Say goodbye to high damage numbers from Twice-born star because you have to run impen instead of divines or infused if they add this crap to pve.

    would make tanks more desirable tbh make crowd control. something useful

    Doesn't matter to me, do whatever.
    Would be kind of cool if bosses had an absurdly low chance to crit but had their strongest attacks, such as the skull Nerien'eth fires, and have it always crit in the same way that critical rush do. Obviously the damage from the attacks would be reduced to take the new critical damage into account. It would make the bosses functionally the same for someone who don't want to use impen while impen have at least some use in PvE.

    But it's not something I've strong feelings about.

    I wasn't sure about this at first, I already thought enemies did have a crit chance (albeit a low one) and didn't give it much thought, but the more I think about it the more I think that PvE enemies shouldn't crit. RNG already decides too much of who succeeds and who fails in this game, and there should be efforts made to limit that tendency and certainly not expand it in any way. I can't really see any way to get rid of RNG completely and still have the game function well, and random *** happens in real life so it would be nonsense to suggest nothing random should ever happen in a video game, but it shouldn't be the biggest deciding factor in a fight or anywhere close to it.

    At the very least I don't think NPC's should be having any significant crit damage bonus, at most 25%, that way at least if they do crit it's not as devastating as it would be with a higher bonus.

    Now this is interesting, hadn't thought of that, but nerfing the damage of all enemies and giving them an equivalent crit to have the same overall damage output they have now could be viable. That way at least if you have Impen on your gear it's not useless and makes you noticeably Tankier, but if you don't run Impen you would still have about the same survivability as now. It wouldn't be the worst tweak they could make, still a little bit more RNG than I'd prefer but it might be something that could work.

    Hi, so you're saying that PNJ and Bosses do NOT land critical hits on tank ?
    This is completely unexpected for me^^ As you said, this would make the tank invaluable for PVE and require tanks to get a decent value of resist (so Impenetrable trait and any Champion Passives). I thought it was the case!
