Naming and shaming taken to a New level in TF

So yesterday i saw someone saying "I probly pay ur poor dad's money with my job" and badwords like f*ckers, ****rs, idiots, ***, and so many offensive words coming from someone who I used to admire. This same person yells in caps lock to his pug groups directions IN ZONE like If he was the boss of the whole faction. This guy is an AD, guild leader, a father a husband and a PUG leader, should be an example, and not a rager, naming and shaming people for over an hour. And the sad thing is, he isnt even that great to get so full of himself. Its sad, cause i used to admire him, but when u meet real leaders u see how weak those ones who feel the urge to say bad things bout the others really are.
I havent taken screenshots nor will mention his name. People might find out, once its not very common for PUG leaders to YELL in caps lock directions expecting the whole AD would follow his weak strategies. But this person got naming and shame to a level I HAVE never seen in Trueflame, AD zone chat.

So sad. Hope it ends somehow.

That's called flaming. Naming and shaming would be if you publicly disclosed the name of someone who broke the law/rules to single them out for criticism.

Yeah, PvP, while quite enjoyable, tends to encourage the worst out of people. I have some guildies who used to be adorable before they started PvPing intensively and they're becoming total (self-censored).

If you want to protect yourself... just turn off zone chat and whispers. If you cannot afford to turn off zone chat because you need information from there, simply put EVERYONE of the type you describe on ignore.

As to the general atmosphere in PvP, there isn't much anyone can do unless ZOS steps up, which is unlikely to happen.

What anyone can do is SPEAK UP in guilds and with friends, if anyone goes too far, just tell them they're behaving like [self-censored]. It might not change individuals, but it might help preserving some sort of culture of remaining polite. Maybe.

This isn't our dear friend "Sheldon," is it? Or our other friend "Right Brother"? (Nicknames so naming and shaming on the forums doesn't go on. Don't like saying names aloud unless they're mine.)

I can see why someone would turn off zone chat, especially if running with a guild. But it would be a damn shame to turn off whispers, I get so much fun from some enemies sending me their love after tumorscale/viper shows up on their death list

I know who you talking about and yes. Yure right hes philosophy is like "Pray to me or you are against me you ...". If only his leading skills and tactics were so great -_-. When I came back to ESO after an almost a year of break, first time after entering cyrodill ive managed to lead a grup of pugs. Our sieges were always 20/20 - and im a terrible leader. We werent strongest there as we wiped few times but our attacks were fast and unexpected, so yeah, almost anyone can lead pugs. Its easy mode. When something goes wrong you can always blame them etc. Im not telling hes terrible leader. He does what he can but his attitude "im the greatest" is just stupid. There is no real leader in AD EU since Shido left :( I realy miss times, when you seen "SWAT is on" on zone and you knew that map will be yellow soon.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

See ? Trollface or not, you're part of the problem. Enjoying people being [self-censored]. I'm going to follow my own advice and say it to you straight : you're behaving like an [self-censored]. You're free to do so (which, in this case, is unfortunate).

Some people in chats talk about really weird things like racism in a very dark humorish kind of way like, eg , I'm not even black but I cringed when some guy was randomly on mic like "I bet that guy is so dark u can only see his eyes and teeth" or something like that, I don't have a mic to really give my 2 cents in, but it's uncomfortable and disturbing sometimes to just listen to conversations on mic when nothing much is happening.
The person seemed cool initially but he starting sounding like a an arrogant d bag soon after. And the other people in mic I don't know if they were uncomfortable or not but just snickered and 1 guy just awkwardly cleared his throat.

So, your suggestion is to take off all proc sets and be farmed by AD in silence? That is just silly.

Actually, no. But if you come to the forums and say that hate whispers are fun, then yes. Because it promotes the idea that hating, insulting, name calling and anything the like, is an acceptable, if not flatout cool practice. It contributes to the general aggravation of the playing environment in PvP.
If you personally think it's not worth getting upset about, and even laugh abuot them that's fine - and probably even healthy. But not everyone has a thick skin like you and it makes PvP unpleasant to them because they're disturbed by that level of incivility and lack of sportsmanship.

Well, I would be a lying *** if I said I don't enjoy some of the comments I got after some rather lucky kills in Cyrodiil.
One Khajiit even roleplayed while cursing all of my offsprings up to 6th generation or so. Is it wrong to find that amusing?
Even if it is, I am never the one to send hate mail or bs whispers after being killed. Neither I teabag ppl. Sometimes I do /shovel /crying /pray near their corpses, but its so rare since almost everybody is zerging nowadays, and as a nord DK I lack stealth/mobility to pull up that bs every time.

Calling People bad names, saying their father are poor and work for him in rl (like if that would matter anyway). Saying their wives might be unhappy cause of their *** behavior, saying they dont matter cause they are poor and saying to all faction those People are ignorant and idiots?
I believe this IS naming and shaming.
