I got my 1st hate whisper over the weekend!

Running around Saturday defending emp keeps and get a zone plea for help at brk (?). A group of yellows had taken mine and were sieging. I was on my templar tank, stealth flanked them, set up a fire balistia and got to work. Got a couple shots off until a group pushed out from the keep and wiped them. A few were not releasing so i began dancing on a certain "gangsta" corpse. He sends me a whisper how they had been there for half an hour and how it took 50 of us to wipe 10 of them. Complained how I then tbag him and I should be ashamed. I told him I was just dancing because I was happy.

I think someone from EP loves me

This past weekend I was in IC with 12k stones on me, and silly me decides to Soul Tether an EP player as they are taking one of the flags. He killed me and got 1/2 my stones. I rezzed at the bank, deposited my stones and went back. He killed me again.

The sad thing was, when I went to the bank I didn't deposit the stones, I accidentally took out 6k more.

I kill lots of folks on my magsorc. If anyone wants a generic build, I'll be happy to type up stuff in a message. I think it's one of the more burst-oriented classes possible in BwB, but it doesn't suffer from having to sacrifice regen for damage. It's just all about timing.

What's funny about this is when I made my AD toon I had 1 person in mind that I wanted to kill. My first day in BWB with that character I killed the DC Emp and the person I was hunting. It was very rewarding.

@Adenoma gave me basically the entire build for my Mag Sorc, and I have only made a couple small modifications on it, and it is disgustingly strong. I consider it my strongest class, but I will admit it would be pretty difficult for some people to play effectively (I play mine pretty unorthodox as it is, focussing much more on deeps and only shield stacking when I need it), but if you can master it, you wreck ***. I just think Stam Sorc is considered stronger because it is easier to play, not actually better, as my Mag Sorc has taken on 3 Stam Sorcs at once and won.

Do you have a mix of light and heavy armor on your mag sorc?

I loved 7L on my mag NB in BwB, but only because I was able to use cloak to avoid damage... it seems like a 7L sorc would be constantly casting shields to just survive in BwB.

I'm looking for insight into BwB mag sorcs from anyone with experience.

@mcurley , I play some magsorc but I'm by no means an expert. I run 7L and feel that's sort of a must in BwB. I'm destro/resto and my only defenses are dampen magicka (not harness) and healing ward. I'm not planning on getting hardened ward in BwB, but I can face tank about 4 pretty good DPS and out shield them. At that point it's just a matter of generating offense while on the defensive. Generally, I remove pressure by bar swap canceling velocious curse and proc crystal frags when I have small windows. I'll be getting mines so that will help a lot with LOS and getting separation. Also it's worth considering degeneration over critical surge for major sorcery because of the heals from doing a medium weave.

I run 4x Mara, 4x Magnus, 3x Willpower with a sharpened inferno and a precise resto. I go all spell damage glyphs on my jewelry and I use the +max magicka +max health +mag recov drink now available. This puts me a little over 3k spell damage, 2600 recovery as a vampire high elf, and something like 35k max magicka.

From what I've found it's all about timing the burst.

I've a baby dk I'm working on myself... Møst Vyle øf All (she just turned 12) and Im stoked too! I havent dk'd in a while so its gonna be fuuuun!

Also, all this talk about sorcs is makin me wanna try again. Some of you know I mained a pve magsorc for like a year (Vyle) and have had a really hard time tryin to sorc in pvp. I get to about 20 and then I'm like.. this shiz aint workin... delete. lol! After some dk fun Im gonna try it again. Problem is... who to delete?!!

lol.. yeah, all the farming ive been doing and the recent soloing of nCoA1and2 have given me a few ideas for builds which my new toon is kind of a spawn of that lol dont think i would do a build vid though for it

@mcurley what @Adenoma says is pretty accurate on how to play mag sorc in BWB, and I do prefer 7L, as it is pretty needed for sustain. If you are having major problems staying alive however, I did try 5L and 2H for a time and it was also pretty effective, just not quite as. In BWB since you don't have your CP only use shields when you are actively being hit, or you will run out of magicka way too quickly, even with all the spell reduction from running light armour.
