My humble request

I've been playing since the game was released.

Please remove traits that nobody wants. Examples:

Training - why would anyone want this on c160 set drops? Seriously. I can craft a full set of training gear if I want to grind or have it crafted for me.

Defending trait - only on 1h sword. Any other weapon is kind of waste.

There shall be only 3 traits on destro staves: Sharpened, Precise (better than Sharpened in good groups) and (maybe) Nirnhoned.

There shall be only precise and powered resto staves.

DD-set armor should come in divines only. Yes, you heard me right.

Etc. etc.

Thanks for listening.

Surprisingly, someone wants Training. I was farming Bleakrock and ended up with some actual Training set gear, which was all Training trait. CP160. I tossed it in the Guild Store for way too much and it all sold.

I can't say that I would agree with this because you are assuming that no one wants these traits, which I doubt is the case. Some are more popular than others, but I'm sure there are people who still use them.

I think the real issue here is the RNG-based loot system. Some people get unlucky and can't get the traits they prefer on their gear. This leads to resentment towards other traits.

The reason the developers do this is so players have a reason to continue running their dungeons. The proverbial carrot at the end of the stick if you will. Since you can craft gear with what ever traits you want - players should be able to rely on that until they are able to acquire the dungeon set pieces they want. But I can fully appreciate how frustrating RNG can be if you get unlucky. But I also recognize it's importance to long-term gameplay.

The best advice would be to enjoy the game and have fun while trying to get your gear. Don't let it turn into a race where you feel you have to get it as soon as possible. Because if you're having fun, you won't care as much how long something takes.

I also like to have resto staff with defending more than precise.
Anyway still we should get some trashy gears for deconstruction, to work on crafting skills. Those useless traits help.

I appreciate the positive outlook you give on this subject... but tell that (in bold above) to those of us with more than 50 runs in vMA... or worse, 100+ runs...there is no enjoying the content anymore. It was fun for about 10 - 15 runs until i started getting flawless. Now its boring, annoying, and the last chest is more than frustrating. At least in dungeons and overland farming... you have friends to help with the drops and its actually group content. VMA is like a parasite... it just latches on and eats the life out of anything that gets close to it.
I don't try to make it a race as far as speed goes... but there has to be a finish line for each aspect of the game. People are only going to chase that carrot for so long before they decide it isn't worth it. ZOS isn't getting more money from me by making me farm vma 100+ times... While i'm in vMA, i'm not playing other content... i'm not buying anything from the crown store... i'm not going to subscribe/buy other dlcs if i can't progress my characters in this one. It just makes no sense to me.

TLDR... i'm all for simplifying traits/drops... token systems (in certain applications)... making items boe again... etc.

Thank god ZOS (mostly) ignores forum posts because this is just terrible.

I enjoy my Defending Resto Staff in PvP greatly TYVM

Also, all DPS in PvP would be more than a little upset if impen wasn't an option.
