After much time, grinding and selling I became a member of the gold Millionaires' Club this morning. Luckily my character was standing at the exit to The Vile Manse, so I did a dance and then took a running leap of joy off the cliff and into the water below. It was truly a glorious moment.

Pretty sure I had less than 300k before the Wrothgar event. Thanks ZOS!

I like to stay above 2m at all times. I hit a mil in 2014, but I spent everything expanding my bank and bag space as soon as I could. Buying new motifs and tempers are the only way I really spend gold these days.

I do wonder what kinda cash sink housing will be, I am currently sitting on 2 million and thought I was rich now feel poor, just wonder where people get all their gold from. As a wise man once said "no one ever made a million gold through hard work".

I completely believe that. I was stuck around 100k for a solid year. It took a few months to get over 200k and stay there. Then 300 a few weeks ... 400 a few days ... 500 ... 600 ... it just keeps getting faster. I've been making 50 to 100k a day this week now.

Here are a few things that applied to me that may help those guys with a small amount of gold.

- Until I got my end game gear on my main all gold I could never make a dent. Getting this done helped a lot.

- Farm for materials and do your writs.
- 5000 a week for a good trader is a ton. 10,000 a week for a GREAT trader is peanuts. Search these forums for a great trader.
- Post things for sale at 80% of the "market rate". I'd rather make 800 gold today than 1000 gold 2 weeks from now.
- Keep 30 items listed and sell things people want. Reagents, CP160 materials, impenetrable gear, and stacks of ingredients have been great sellers for me.
- Hoard your gold upgrade materials. They are the only thing that always go up in value. I have been selling my dreugh wax and rosins because I don't need them but I make sure to alway have 16 and 8 on hand just in case. Don't ever sell your tempering alloys.

my 1st million was stolen, you can steal your 1st million too!

get yourself a set of nights silence, or play a vamp & go steal things spend 1 skill point under ledgerman so you can sell 110 items a day (you can spend more SP's to increase it to 140 if you really want)

keep a heal, shields/reflect & rapid manouvers on your bar so if you get cought you can run away & port to a refuge
sell purple/blue/green items as priority (ideally only green quality & above)

there are plenty of places that have lots of drawers & very few guards/witnesses (they are not all dlc's zones so everyone can profit)

if you are prepared to spend the skill points pick pocketing can be a faster way to get the stolen goods (and also a bounty if your unlucky)

if you have DB dlc blade of woeing & looting the corpses is often a faster option. i prefer to pickpocket my victims twice before putting them out of their misery)

can easily make 10k a day even after paying off any bounty.

p.s. you will occasionally steal motifs - launder them & sell them in guild traders/area chat/ to frends)

Now i'm saving up for housing, gonna be poor again when that DLC hits ...

I just became a millionaire as well but as soon as housing hits I be back down to nothing as well. I have been waiting for housing since launch.

I got my first milion after picking raw mats and selling. In time when rubedite ore was selling 120 per/piece. Now the raw mats are no longer that profitable, but still provide a decent gold.
Got my milion without subscription/dlcs - I call it a success

It's funny you bring up AP. Some of the best PVPers I know are some of the poorest players in the game. Refusing to step out of Cyrodiil can really hamper your financial situation.
