I've heard of people getting from 3 - 50 and then from 1 to 100 cp in a day.
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    Yes, a lot...
The pressure comes from the gear farming. No point collecting gear before CP160 because it will be obsolete before you know it. And most of my fun comes from gathering and trying different sets and see how it goes playing with them.
I'm far above CP 561 anyway but while leveling my last character it was really painful to get stuff lvl 45 or 48 knowing I could *never* use it and will have to farm it once vet...

I didn't feel pressure - I was excited to reach 160cp.... but people are always looking for high cp players to run dungeons so I sometimes feel a bit inadequate with my 'low' cp char

The only reason I rushed to reach cp160 and beyond is because those champion points you put into passives really helps out in-game whether it's PvE or PvP. Also, it's nice not having to worry about constantly getting new matching gear every ~10 levels.

I've been playing since PC launch and have 83 cps so no, I'm not feeling any kind of pressure from other players or any game features.

Pressure is paying your bills, feeding your family, stuff like that. Reaching a milestone in a video game is not pressure.

What's the hurry? You should enjoy the game rather than hurry to the end of it to please others..

    Yes, i do...
Lol, so many people voting "Not at all" are saying that cp160 is reachable "within a day, 40hs, extremely fast".
So even if there is no pressure to reach 160cp, most of you suggest it is easy to get there.
On the other hand, its also people thats already high cp.

Tho, there are a few feeling pressure, and its (mostly) related to how leveled gear works.
The worst time in the game was from 120-160 cp, when one level was like 150k xp and the elightened bonus barely helped. It slowed down to a crawl. And the terrible thing about it was that basically every piece of gear you pick up is vendor trash, no matter the quality, item set or where you got it. That really dampened the will to do dungeons, world bosses and such, even the main quest gives a leveled reward at the end, so it's best to be avoided. Who wants a cp 140 purple weapon? It would be great if max level gear would have already dropped at that point, so you could work towards something more than just xp grinding and vendor trash.

For example on that quote. I disagree about things being vendor trash, but the feeling of dampened will is there. Coments like "you could have gotten to 160cp on the time you did this" or "whats the point of runing vet dungeons if your not 160cp". I dont get carried away by this, i'm my own person. But there's the pressure. Some of it at least.

    Lets hear from more people...

A game is there to be enjoyed. I always prefer to just do whatever I feel like doing at my own pace, which includes lvling :p

    ...

I have to admit tho, I did feel a bit of pressure sometimes while lvling, but quick bio breaks took care of that :p

    Yes, a lot...
I didn't used to feel as much pressure, back when there were still VR levels and it took a lot longer to level them up. One Tamriel has also taken off a lot of the pressure.

However, there are aspects of the game where I felt very high pressure to reach CP 160. The first has to do with gear available in the guild traders. Back in the day, it was a lot easier to find a good spread of weapons, armor, and jewelry available at all levels in the guild traders. Today, it's very difficult to find any decent gear for sale at lower than CP 160. If you want to find a nice set of Dreugh King Slayers, you can forget finding it in lower than CP 160. Same goes for pretty much any other set. The selection for gear below CP 160 is abysmal and crazy overpriced.

With the increased progression rates for CP and account-wide CP, there is also the expectation that if you haven't yet gotten to at least CP 160 then you must either be a newb or a filthy casual who isn't truly dedicated to the game. A lot of guilds look down on players below a certain CP level, and 160 is the *minimum* where you'll get any respect from them.

I started playing early access, and didn't hit level 50/ Vet 1 for almost a year!
    My guild threw a party!
    From Vet 1 to max???
Another year!! It was IC DLC before I hit max! It was Vet 16 I think.
Today, I'm sitting at 658CP, 3 max toons, and have never rushed. I always tell people who want to grind it out or feel pressured to get to max to just slow down.. You should enjoy playing, not be stressed and pressured. (Unless you are doing vMSA...lmao).
This game is awesome and so full of lore and storylines, little details and NPC lines, vistas and exploration, it's a shame to miss it.
Gotta stop and smell the roses! ( And to read that book in the middle of a dungeon while your group is looking for you...

I have reached CP 571 today. I play ESO for 10 months only.
And, yes, I have life and work.
I simply investigated what's best for reaching best Xp gain without grinding.

Reaching high CP level is a piece of cake.

    Lazy people would always cry.

Its a must to have high cp in end game content, but no need to rush it, you wont learn the game any faster. Take your time.

I felt some pressure to get to VR14 back in the day, but that pressure was self-inflicted since I wanted to participate in group activities as opposed to the solo questing I have been doing up until that point.

Now that One Tamriel is live, I don't think anyone is being pressured into leveling, unless they limit themselves as to what they want to do.
People can do normal dungeons and not be a dead weight if they know what they're doing. If they don't, CP 160 won't help them.
