Opened 400! Powerfull Assault boxes on pts, not one weapon or jewelry piece. Same for other 'old' IC sets. The 'new' ones do come in jewelry/weapons. Oversight? Intended? Bug?

Every set should come in weapons and jewelry since 1T. I've seen weapons and jewelry for sets like Imperial Physique and Galerion's Revenge, but nothing for the older IC sets. Idk if this is intended or not, but that's the best answer I have for you right now.6

✭✭✭ZOS claimed it was an oversight/bug (forget which) that is currently making the old Tel Var sets (Black Rose, Powerful Assault, Pheonix, etc.) not have weapons and jewelry.
I'm still waiting for the patch that fixes this because I'm currently sitting on millions of Tel Var from the IC event awhile back that I've been saving to spam buy Powerful Assault Jewelry and Weapons for my Tank.

Note: only original IC Tel Var sets don't come in weapons or jewelry.
There was no feedback until recently, when somebody asked Rich about it in an interview, and an eyebrow was raised as if it wasn't supposed to be that way.0 -

Look at it this way, apart from Black Rose+Reactive Armor, none of the original Tel Var sets are powerful or even desirable.
Black Rose requires using Heavy Armor to be most effective so you'd need to couple it with another heavy set to even make it worth anything and the majority of Crafted Sets aren't particularly useful in this day and age of Proc v Proc. Also, since every other dropped set of Heavy Armor already comes in Weapons+Jewelry, there really isn't many ways to abuse Black Rose, outside some crafted set shenanigans. The only time Black Rose would be a problem is when combined with Reactive as now you have a combo that gives everything someone could want for a very trolly PvP character with great sustain and survivability with decent damage as well.
Still, I don't think that people will be switching out their 1 hit kill button sets for trolly Immortality as that just makes PvP boring if no one ever dies.Argonian forever0 -
