Alchemy takes up so much space

Synden22
Synden22
Starting alchemy I have gotten to level 8 or so and my bank and pack is full of every mat I could find and I still can't craft a single thing? Is it always so bloated or does it get better as you go on? I had it easier playing a high elf I could make one potion by this level but as Ebonheart Pact I have gone quite a ways and still can't make anything (just got to Ebonheart).

Right now I am finding all crafting a drag and it's usually my favorite thing. I wish there was less animation for gathering and for calling your horse, it's not as bad as old Everquest but not as good as Wow. Feels very clunky.

Honestly, without crafting bags you are going to suffer. You can spend gold to increase the size of your inventory and more bank space as well

Don't attempt all crafts. Specalise. Then come back to the other's. I pushed for Alchemey, enchanging and provisioning. Don't hoard, take what you neer to level the skill.

Max your bank space and bag space I you can. Or turn on ESO plus for one month ans all current craft gear goes into bag. Then turn off if you cant afford it.

Then decon all metal / wood / clothing. That will level those crafts. And come back to drop points in when you have spare later.

A CP skill speeds up harvest time. And stable lessons speed up the mount.

All you nee to level alchemy is two herbs and the reagent of your tier. Then smash out a load of those potions, till you unlock the next tier. Then put a skill point in the passive and upgrade the water.

You can make all potion flavours from the off its the level that's controlled by progress on the passive and the water you use.

When I farm I use Rapid Maneuver, Alliance War Assault skill. It makes you fly around while mounted. I also enable autoloot. As for mats, I have 100 bank space and 100 pack space. My bank stays 90/100 when it comes to BS, WW & Clothier items. I am going to get rid of all my lower level mats and keep saving trait gems/motif materials since I am approaching the trait research wall(last three for all items)

That being said, I started in on alchemy & provisioning yesterday and plan to max them out after clearing out space. It can be done, as tedious as it is. I too, am a hoarder. I hate farming constantly so I only do it once in awhile and stock up for the long haul.

I have invested all my money in upgrading bank and char inventory to the max. Now I have no issues keeping what I want in terms of materials and ingredients. Gear is the problem right now, and for that one there's no bag. I will probably end up deconing most sets I got because they are not that good.

I thought I had read that alchemy properties could not be discovered by combining things you didn't know yet but found out otherwise, just combined some ? things and now I can make two potions. I should have known to try it from playing the older ES3 and Oblivion etc. I am not sure why I had it in mind that it didn't work in this game, I must've read and misunderstood something. It did help a lot, made some progress finally.

If it's like any other game I've tried I will have all my space used up in no time. I do like that it's complex, I guess I just have to get used to it.

It helps you discover all traits without wasting ingredients. Found it very effective:

Sunshine Daydream's Guide to Alchemy includes sections on learning traits and on leveling alchemy (as well as much more by way of interesting/helpful details).
Is Uncle John's band calling you? Do you daydream about Sugar Magnolias? Is your favorite sunflower a China Cat? Tired of Truckin' alone to Terrapin Station? If so, share some Space with other hippies & deadheads in the guild Sunshine Daydream! Send a message in game (PC-NA) to Kaibeth for your invitation.

You could learn one of the traits by eating a reagent, not by just throwing them into random potions. Ton of alchemy guides. Will save you a ton of time.
