Does Xbox hate ZOS

So first no Crown Sale on Xbox One and now no free play days either on Xbox One. So is Xbox distancing themselves from TESO I can't blame them this game is barley playable half the time and is a lag fest so I can see why Xbox wouldn't want to promote the game in any way. But whats really going on between Xbox and ZOS?

Pretty sure the first part has been explained already. As for the second Xbox, as far as I've known hasn't done free play stuff unless the full game was free.

I think Zos hate Xbox look at how bad the game is compared to the others.Plus we had the free play weekend when PS4 did not during the first one.

Nope most of you probably didn't play Xbox for a while but then but there has been free to play games like when sunset overdrive came out after a month or so they made it free to play for like 3 days. They made Halo 5 free to play for a few days too if I recall correctly, + we do sometimes get free to play weekends in regards to games that require gold to play.

Sunset overdrive was free to gold members to download. Every week or so xbox has games that normally cost money, become free. Not just for the moment but forever. Not sure about H5 because I didn't see that but I have downloaded quite a few games that were free, still are.

Xbox has promoted ESO with their "giveaway" being advertised for the last week or two, no longer on front page, but was.

Somehow I feel this comment is reeking of the typical " PC master race" comment. You've had 2 years to preach this. Is this comment and it's premise not getting old? Probably. How much work is zos creating alone by not sorting out the crown issue? Every one of us that subs? Pretty frikin close. They need to get thier act together. I personally if I was ms would chuck the nerf hammer at zos and ban the game until they sort the most basic of things out..

It isn't ZoS. Why would they cater to PS4 and PC only? It has to be a Microsoft issue. MS can be quite greedy. That's why there is no 6 month sub option on XBO. It's only month-to-month for $15/mo instead of 6 months at $10/mo

I don't think xb can't facilitate it. You don't get any monthly packages like that anywhere AFAIK, you only get month to month or annual for games like cod or BF premium. Could be wrong.

Yup, no one has a single fact to hand, but it's all Microsoft's fault. Why? Because the internet says so. You see it with digital game prices too. Every man and his dog spouting it's because they can't undercut retailers, yet not a single person has anything to back this claim up. Only Sony, MS and the publishers (sometimes even the devs) are in a position to know how all this works and as such, the only people who will know what the real issue is regarding ESO and the lack of sales etc on LIVE will be MS, Zenimax Media and maybe Bethesda. Even ZoS have come out and said they aren't privy to what's going on.

I dislike the console elitists as much as the PC ones, it's all tribalism. Casual PC and console players all get tarred by this nonsense. Did you notice that they said 'Microsoft?' What OS is on all gaming PCs, do you think? Microsoft Windows. I'd rather think it was a PS4 elitist being all tribal about how their console is better than the Xbox and the PC. Every platform has this problem. And where the PC elitists use 'peasant' as a descriptor, the console elitists use disgusting body shaming.

No one's better, here. No system is better. This is why I don't like elitists (also known as the hardcore and tryhards). They always create this kind of tribalism and it destroys games. Let's just say that everyone makes their choice and they're entitled to it. It should be power to your right to choose, not power to your right to be a witless tribal about your choice.

They did say they are working on a free play weekend for xbox, but we can only wonder when. I do have a problem getting my crowns almost every month I have to make a ticket, nt sure who's end that is on.

That is a ZOS thing, although ZOS will tell you otherwise. Xbox does do their best to help resolve it, though.

Xbox has had free weekends. I started playing after one sometime in... December 2015 I think? PC also had a free weekend then but PS4 did not. (My PS4 was in for warranty repairs anyway).

And that is how ESO become the only game I play on Xbox.

(I am more a Playstation person, but my husband likes Xbox.)

If i remember correctly last year it was the opposite xbox had the free to play weekend and playstation didn't.

There's the answer. Microsoft seems to go out of its way to pinch a penny. And why not, there are rumors they want out of the gaming hardware business. If you think they care about lag or game quality, that's wishful thinking. They have lost a lot of money over the years on their systems. They planned to get it back in some fashion or eventually get out. Microsoft isn't doesn't act this way on the PC side but then they aren't making the computers just the OS. And they wouldn't let their OS fall into the same state for fear one day someone might abandon Windows. But the Xbox... even they are thinking about it.

No, I think the reason why they're holding it of is cause Overwatch is free to play right now. Maybe they just didn't want 2 F2P games at the same time.
