Told them to start researching gear to get their crafting up because it can take months
Tole them to start feeding their horse because that can take months
Told them to grind their butts off so they can actually be invited into group dungeons, because below CP160, you won't be welcome anywhere really
When they asked me about PVP I just silently shook my head.

They wanted me to ask if there's a money-back guarantee on the free weekend, otherwise they won't even bother trying it.

That's not true, any level is welcome in normal dungeons.

Stand at the dolmen just outside Vulkhel Guard, Auridon with the 10,000 people already camped there day and night.

Terrible suggestion. That game really set back MMOs in so many ways. It did come up with some good play but you literally can buy a character nowadays. I know one time I got an email to come back and they'd level up my character. Sure enough they did but it was a bore so didn't even stay the month.

play another game, when the lag gets to bad to enjoy the game

Stop whining about pvp performance and enjoy the buttload of actually good content this game has to offer

And who are you to tell ppl what they should play. If there wasn't PvP in this game, I would never play it, as many other ppl. So PvP performance is a very important issue to me.

If you're new, just take your time and enjoy the game

For the experienced, I'd say do the minor quests or skills quests.

If they have never played ESO before, they should do the starter island stuff. OT is way to big to explore in one weekend and get an idea for game mechanics and playability.

Last free weekend, I made about 40 sets of lvl 10 armor in either Hundings or Julianos and past them out in stonefalls. Might try to do something like that again. Also not a bad idea to get 2-3 solid players and carry noobs through some dungeons.

Tell that to the 108 CP guy who got kicked from our group before it even started (I wasn't lead). It's not just their lack of power, but because they can't drop end game gear to trade, not many people want them included. Personally I don't care though.

    Grind to 15
    then
    run some dungeons/pledges
    then
    do craglorn questline
    then
    go to cyrodiil/IC

How are they going to do IC? Are all the dlc free as well.

My suggested to do list for newbies:
1 camp dolmen and world boss for 2 days and get mediocre armor.
2 go to Cyrodil and get rekt with green mismatched armor
    Or
3 use the dungeon finder and keep trying with thre other newbies until you give up

I probably will use the dungeon finder that weekend just for some sits and giggles. My healer will be spamming vigor

If I had friends :) I would do this:

    Platform: PC

    - Join DC alliance.
    - Have them all create a DragonKnight with a 2 hander
    - Quest/grind till around level 20, making sure they are all leveling Draconic Power Skill Line, and the 2 hander skills
    - Unlock Dragon Leap as soon as you get it ( Morph to 'Take Flight' if you can )
    - Go to PvP ( BwB )

Sneak around PvP and when you see a large group of AD have all your friends take flight ( Dragon Leap Ulitimate ) on them at the same time, and then smash their face with the 2 hander.

This makes me want to make a baby dk. Dragon Leap is so much fun.

That's dumb. Doing pledges today we had a MAG sorc as group lead and he kept booting high CP DPS. We were wondering why, he was booting other sorcs I assume due to competition.
