Nice try. Mdks are strong as hell at the moment with the right gear setup and if zos still buffs them they will be the next op thing in this game.

This is the comunity mistake. You saw one good player do ok with underdog class and you call that class OP. No m8, mDK is not better. And from what i know will never be...
Dont mistake the player skill with class balance.

What this dude said, ppl cry in game op bc they good in duels. Ppl cry op bc in group we spam talons to help out, in open world against a group mdk is trash. In open world 1v1 try out those op dueling build with a dk u will be out of magic so fast and dead. Mdk in no way op, in small group they okay but not on par with the others magic class

did you replay that on 1.1x speed or something? somehow your animations seem faster than usual. (not talking about anim. cancel but the speed you "stomp" for shield etc). or is it the music?

That video is probably the best mDK video ever made. Not outlandish like from patches prior.

One day I'll get around to making a mDK video. I have 10s of GB on my HD of cool fights. Actually, it would be neat to make a sort of "progression" video.

If they don't change proc sets dragon blood won't have a chance to be effective, as it is now, keeping your health topped off and outplay them until they make a mistake is the only way to kill proctards now, since Dragon blood requires you to lose significant health they'll still get smashed up by these proc builds.

@Etaniel , how well does Desert Rose end up meeting your sustain needs? I've been trying the Silks of the Sun/Tava's/Bloodspawn build, but I've ended up hurting for stamina. Keeping up shuffle has been a drag especially in no-CP servers where I can't immediately shuffle right after I'm CC'd to use unchained. I'm very curious about other options that still give me magicka sustain while letting me dedicate my whole stamina pool to blocking/CC break. How much sustain does this afford you compared to Seducer?

Damage-wise, how satisfied does Rattlechains leave you vs. Silks of the Sun/Kagrenac's?

Always a pleasure watching some grade A magicka DK. Maybe one day ZOS will make magDK great again - excited for update 13 so I can play something a little more elegant than a weird stamina sorc variant.

First, thanks a lot !

Second, desert rose is a hit and miss set. It requires people to go full aggro on you to be effective. Overall in open field pvp it does quite well, but 1v1 encounters can be tough to sustain. But when it works, it's better than lich or seducer.
I haven't given any thought to no cp, i'm having fun on cp atm.
Rattlecage frees up one spot on my ability bar and it's more dmg than kagrenacs. Haven't tested sun, but I want a heavy armor setup anyways so it's out of the question right now.

Then Dk would just be a superior Templar! What DK needs is Dragon Blood to work exactly like Vigor but costs Magicka.

What are folks thoughts on S&B/S&B or S&B/resto? What do you feel you gain with the double S&B and how efficiently can you self heal with that vs a resto staff.

good question, I feel duel sword and board would give you more set pieces to run so the monster helms doesn't punish you that much. like having a heal S&B and a dmg S&B with sets that are solid like willpower on healbar and sun or sunderflame spellweave set on dmg. Only downer about having duel S&B is you lose the destro ult and or you lose the restro ult.

But on the other hand, you lose one slot if you run a staff of any sort; and gain the resto ult which is cheap and gives alot of health. I haven't done much on the restro staff as I don't run it often. I generally go full throttle and try to burn the person down before I need to do a serious heal I will pop deep breath mid fight.

dual SnB makes you rely on GDB for healing, which is not ideal when you need a big heal. However, is gives you the ability to not break the perma-block and makes you less vulnerable.

SnB/ resto gives you more healing, sustain (heavy attacks) but makes you vulnerable when you switch bar....

I recommend running dual snB if you run a Tava's setup. If not, run snB and resto and use it correctly, you'll have more utility to your build.
