What if they gave a more limited version of the crafting bag to non-sub players, such as a bag that only holds 10 different materials? Would you be more open to that?

I'm a sub and I support your suggestion.
Something on the lines of 1k crowns/10 crafting bag space, with a maximum of 100 slots would be good for all, imo.

You could achieve the exact same thing by simply upping the max capacity of the character bank. No bag needed

I have been playing this game a little over 2 years and never subscribed. Not becouse I had something against ZOS or I wouldn't want to support the game. I just find it easier to control my life when I don't have to think that I am wasting paid game time when I am going out with my friends or doing pretty much anything else than playing ESO. I buy Crowns every now and then, have bought all the DLCs (+Imperial edition & Adventure Pack) and some nice cosmetic stuff from the Crown Store.

I was a bit disappointed when I heard Craftingbag is only avaliable to Subscribers. @ValkynSketha I have fully upgraded bank and 3 mule characters with fully upgraded bag. Yet I am still running with 15-10 inventory slots, which indeed is the reason why I leave bugs into crafting nodes and green & blue weapons/armor pieces into chests. I don't want to be constantly deleting them. (I have to admit I am a bit of a hoarder and have saved many sets that I probably wont ever use and some "Mementos").

If a crafting bag was avaliable in Crown Store I'd be ready to pay 5K crowns for it without second thoughts. (possibly even more but I would starting wondering wether ZOS' is having economic crisis or if they are just greedy  )

Now - I love the crafting bag addition in the recent update - I also like that ZOS tried to give Plus subscribers some extra bang for their buck - unfortunately in this case I still think it works against the game's players, both Plus and Non-Plus.

The issue is one that has persisted for a long time - and that is people who hit up crafting nodes and take ONLY 1 item, and leave the others - thereby preventing the node from respawning.

There is only one reason people actually do this - limited inventory space. You don't see as many Plus users doing this, for the obvious reason that they can turn Auto-Loot on, and they don't have to worry about crafting mats bogging up their inventory. The issue is a lot less common now - but clearly it still happens - my time in Wrothgar has been showing me as much.

For non-plus players, they have to worry alot about inventory management - especially with the massive number of different mats out there. I'm pretty sure without the crafting bag I would lose all 200 inventory spaces to Food alone. It is ridiculous - with so many different mats in the game, the Crafting Bag should be for everybody or for nobody.

Quite frankly - as somebody who enjoys the benefits added by the bag - I'm still just as subject as anybody else to the problem that it was meant to help alleviate.

There is no reason for the Crafting bag to be plus only - all you do is encourage people to be picky about resourced and it holds everybody back. They aren't going to buy plus for just the crafting bag - they're going to take the goods from the nodes and do as they've always done. I'm sick of going to pick up clothing material only to find crawlers. I know I don't contribute to this issue because I have auto-loot and unlimited inventory space. If I get worms I don't want - I can sell them, it doesn't hurt me to hold them.

Please ZOS look into just making the Crafting Bag for everybody - but so the Plus users don't get their knickers in a twist, give us a different feature of some sort. This is an issue people have been complaining about since the game came out - and you have the perfect solution but you decide to lock it to paying players only - thereby hurting the people who DO pay.

Dont fix behavior that may affect node by chging rule... fix nodes by chging rules.

Crafting bag offers nothing that a few mules and expanded bank slots can't do.
I paid once for the gold edition to "own" the game and that's way cheaper than to rent it and only get an additional bag as reward when subbing.

I refuse to pick up a "Ta" from any runestone.

I have an eso + sub, so I have the bag.

    1st point proven false.

I have over 1k "Ta" that's the real issue. Too much junk that never gets used, has no value, and pointless.

Leaving anything behind is selfish, it would be quicker for you to delete the stuff you don't want faster then a node will refill. It screws other players in the process. I could care less if they offered some sort of crafting bag for sale, I sub and I get the bag. It's a perk, yes we all paid for the game and non subs do spend money on crown packs, so I'm not going to argue that point. But as business it's not a bad thing to give perks to people who are supplying a steady monthly income.

It's also nonsense that the only reason people leave nodes is because of space issues. A lot of them are just trolls who get a kick out of making things more difficult for others. Boy do they love it when people complain too. I don't bother feeding this behavior by commenting, trolls will be trolls.

So to the OP, I'm with you on some sort of bag being available to non subs. But that will not fix a troll being a troll.

Because we (Subscribers) pay monthly to support the game we get a little extra in this case a Crafting Bag, if everyone gets one or we can buy it with gold or crowns then why even subscribe ?

So i vote NO for everyone a crafting bag.

    Rules wont fix behavior.

Fix the nodes so leaving one item doesn't affect spawn at all.
heck, make nodes despawn when you open them, take it or leave it its gone now.

    then move on.

So you purposely screw other players? I mean you have the bag space so it's not taking any extra inventory, you don't even have a real argument to justify this. What you are basically saying is "screw all you other guys". Nice

If you have the crafting bag and you leave Tas behind, you are tossing a small amount of coin (they can be sold to vendors) and it takes longer to select everything but the Ta, so that makes no sense.

I disagree. Adding incentive to subscribing benefits subscribers and encourages people to help pay for the game which then means more game for all.

I approve of the Crafting Bag being a purchasable item, probably in the 5,000 Crown range.

Something about the Craft Bag's tooltip leads me to believe this is something they intended to do eventually...

    vlXrz3w.png

"ESO Plus Unlocked" instead of simply "Unlocked".

Also, for the love of Zenithar, despawn nodes that have been partially harvested. Or allow items in nodes to be dragged out and instantly destroyed by people who don't want them.

The rest of the perks to subbing would never justify the cost. It is the ONLY thing that makes it worth subbing.

I think most (myself included) would simply unsubscribe if it changed. Not ranting or threatening to quit, but I would simply not subscribe if there was no longer enough value to do so.

The more simple answer is just increase the bag and/or bank capacity for crowns or in game gold. After this much time, it is in desperate need of a little expansion.

If people want the bags bad enough they can pay the 15$ a month like everyone else who has it. It is a nice incentive for people to subscribe.

The only other decent perk for subscribing is dlc access and it can be bought by itself. Take away craft bags and there is no point in subscribing for many people.

Then why are you saying it should require a sub. We could all just buy it

You're buying crowns with your sub just as I am, even tho I often don't get the crowns I pay for on Xbox one.
The ESO perks can also be adjusted for others to subscribe but to some extent limited at least, crafting bags should not be limited to ESO plus only.

Change things so pick-up is all or nothing. If you want one item ya gotta take them all. If it is something you don't want then trash it. Don't make someone else trash it for you.

The Crafting bag has stacks of 1000 vs 200 in regular inventory/bank space. A bag that can hold 1000 of 1 material saves about 5 inventory/bank space, so at max capacity you save around 50 extra inventory/bank space with my suggestion vs the 10 a typical bag/bank upgrade would grant.

    Interesting perspective.

Every time you come across an enchanting node with no aspect, it's because I took the Kuta and left the rest.

Just kidding. But seriously it did not occur to me that people with crafting bags might feel this way. We did all manage to get by somehow before they existed you know.

I got by easily earlier on too, but the last few updates have added a ton of new materials. I've had to stop playing some characters just to use them for bank space, which makes me sad.

But all I want is more bank extensions. Subbers can have their craft bags, but there is no reason to not offer a few more bank and bag extensions to help with all of the new materials and gear sets added.

First - the "node doesn't respawn" is a myth, disproven by many very patient players (do a forum search for details).

Since I never cared enough to check, and have only seen one or two "fake" nodes in the last couple months, what does happen? The nodes eventually despawn anyway?
