ESO on Intel Core 2 Duo E7500?

IK0Nv2
IK0Nv2
Hello!
So here is the thing. I want to run ESO on my old (only one for now lol) PC. To do this I need to change graphic card BUT I have concerns about Intel Core 2 Duo E7500. Will it handle the game (20fps (?) low settings)? I dont want to spend my money just to see ESO in 5fps.

Hard to say. Gut feeling is that the game would probably be playable outside of PvP. If you have the option, best would be to borrow a graphics card somewhere (a cheap one like nvidia 750ti will do) and see how it goes before you commit.

Are you running a LGA 775 socket motherboard? If so, click on the link below and grab one of the Quad Core processors from Ebay. You will have a much better time running it with a Quad Core CPU and a new video card. The processors are pretty cheap also, $30 or so. If your not on a socket LGA775, check out your socket on Intel to see what the highest/lowest Quad Core CPU you can get is.

Here's a CPU comparison from your current CPU to the Q9505. You can see there's quite a bit of difference in there that will help out the game a lot.

I played on a E7200@3.2Ghz. It's mostly fine, you may get extra lag though.
But if you do PVP and play in a zerg (or encounter one), your frame rate will drop badly.

I just upgraded my PC last month, but before that, ESO ran fine on my duo core i7, GTX 650ti , and 4GB RAM. I needed to play on med low settings and in Cryodiil med/large battles I had a FPS drop, but I got by.

Yes, i7's range from 2 cores to 8. Most laptop i5/7 are dual core too.

If my little lappy with i7 2637m, gt540m can run it at high/high/medium/low/particles and suppression distance at lowest/view distance 51/AA on/768p all effects off, grass on and maintain over 20fps in dungeons....then you should be fine. Haven't tried mass PvP yet though.

Low power i7 are duo core with hyperthreading like my i7 2637m. I believe the i5 in my big laptop (i5 6300hq) is one of the first true quad core i5's in laptops.

Yes, my old PC is 7 years old, i7 duo core was the best thing out at the time. (unless you had a few thousand to burn.)

I was thrown off when the "Duo Core i7" (which we know is only used in laptops) was paired with a 650ti (which is a desktop card).

Also didn't state that it was an "M" or "U" chip.

If this i7 was a desktop CPU it's a Quad Core with Hyperthreading.

If it was indeed in a laptop then it could have been a dual core. Though every dual core i7 has a quad core variant to match it.

    But then it'd be a GTX 650m and not a GTX 650ti.

I'm thinking out loud at this point...

TLDR - Desktop i7 CPUs are Quad Core. Laptops can be either Dual or Quad.

Well if i was you i would check the Minimum System Requirements for the game which is

    PC Minimum System Requirements*:
    • Operating System: Windows 7 32-bit
    • Processor: Intel i3 or AMD 3870 generation processors or higher
    • System RAM: 3GB
    • Hard Disk Space: 85GB free HDD space
    • GPU: Direct X 11.0 compliant video card with 1GB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 460 or AMD Radeon 6850)
    • Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
    • Internet: Internet Broadband Connection**

And if you old CPU is bad anything newer would mostlike be better then you running now :)

Sorry, you're right its a GTX 650m, was typing during break at work so I didn't look it up.
Never the less, he should still be able to play at lower video settings outside of the Cryodiil lag.

How old is her laptop? I have an old Asus ROG laptop I bought back in 2010 that I upgraded with an Intel Extreme CPU, doubled the system memory and dropped a SSD in that didn't cost too much. My son uses it to play CounterStrike Go on it currently. It has a Radeon 5870 1GB video card in it that runs ESO pretty decent.

    @ronrobaina

The OP is not active in the forums and has not posted anything since the day he created this thread. Doubtful he will respond. With a thread this old it is best to start a new one rather then trying to breath life into the old one.

Also, few will be able to answer your question better than what was previously stated in this thread as most PCs with a CPU like the one listed would meet the graphics requirements.
