Hope you guys are screenshotting the alledged exploiters to send with your reports. Nothing worse than a bunch of cheaters who can't play the game properly. They probably cheat and lie their way in real life, scumbags.

What a narrow-minded worldview you have.
Do you report yourself too with screenshots if you stumble upon and use something another person could interpret as you "exploiting"?

And exploiting is another empty word like hate speech because you can subsume almost anything under those words depending on your own standpoint and agenda.

Well... On the other hand... I'll play devil's advocate.

All of us do have the free will to choose what mobs to target and what mobs to dodge. Like dodging that group of mobs in spindle clutch, avoiding that battle, is that an exploit just because you don't bother with them? Or that first small clump in mazzatun, does avoiding them make attacking the next clump an exploit?

What about that loooooooooooong string of clumps of daedra in the caverns below imperial prison, is it exploiting to avoid killing them?

And the not quite as looooong bunches of daedra with crematorial guards in the halls of white gold tower, doing a naked run past them isn't an exploit, just because you are avoiding combat?

People here are acting like this is a huge thing. It sounds to me like all they are doing is choosing a mob to attack - just like everyone is free to do and does every day. And choosing a mob to avoid - also like everyone is free to do and does every day. Sounds like they are remaining at the controls, so no rubber banding like with the pig farming. And the mob respawns, like it is supposed to do.

What is it, the drops from the boss? Might as well howl at the people that camped Limenauruus for assassin motif chapters. Or those camping the big craglorn scorpion for dropped set rings. Or camping any of the dolmens across everywhere for the new overland dropped sets.

Clearly, if it was selective mob choice or selective mob avoidance or dead-running or boss camping then I wager just about every complainer in this thread would also be getting the ban hammer.

Devil's advocacy, I think was effective.

I don't get what they are getting out of this tbh, the sets that drop in The Rift are kinda bad.

Witchman's makes every tank feel like a DK. Running it on my stamplar tan atm.

In what way? It gives minor heroism which low slash gives. Makes magica tanks feel like a stam tank maybe, but nothing to do with DKs.

You're mistaken. WItchman's 5 piece returns stamina and health on ulti use. There is no minor heroism with that set.

lol I agree. In all examples that you used as a comparison to the one in the OP, they're simply utilising the game's mechanics to get loot faster so there's really no difference between them if you break it down.

If anyone gets banned for this then ZOS really needs to give their heads a wobble and focus on actual cheaters.

And here i was just camping a Delve and every 5-10 minutes or so the Boss would pop...Every so often it would pop before the timer reset so I got next to nothing.
Not sure how it could have done it any quicker...

I hope people understand that there's a difference between camping a boss, and manipulating the spawns. Camping is ok, but manipulating the spawning is where you went off the rails. That's called cheating, children.

So you are against people being able to kill the adds while leaving a boss alone?

Isn't that the exact mechanic required to take down grobull the giant transmuted netch in darkshade 2?

You're comparing apples to oranges, one is a non instanced world boss anyone can attack, one is instanced to a group of 4 that killing the adds to burn the boss does not give you any tangible advantage beyond clearing the boss quicker, does NOT influence loot. Big difference xD You're silly!

You're SUPPOSED to in Grobull's fight, as the adds control whether or not he drops his shield. Big difference from simply ignoring a boss to keep adds spawning for XP, which Grobull's many adds do not give.

Beside ruining someones immersion what harm does it make??? I don´t see how this is abusive behaviour (I can understand that some might find it disturbing) to farm/grind a worldboss?

Avoiding mobs in a dungeon and camping a boss /dolmen is very different from keeping a boss up nearly 100% of the time and constantly getting loot from it so I am going to disagree. Bosses/Dolmens are on a spawn timer so you have to wait just like everyone else so it is not an exploit. What these people are doing is an exploit.

They aren't doing it just for the loot. They are using it to grind XP on their low level characters. The giant gives really high XP for a kill so the kill it fast, reset the boss by pulling the mammoth and kill the giant again.

I've found that you get more XP per kill on the first kill but they can do this so fast that they can get XP faster overall by doing this.

There should be a cooldown on XP given by boss kills such as zero XP for an hour after 2 kills in 15-20 minutes or less. This way you get XP for the first kill and one more if you decide to help someone that missed it that time. This would prevent this exploit.

My friend and I have been doing world boss completion on all our characters. When we get to that zone, we get a good sized group for all the bosses and save that boss for last. Then I tell my group what the exploit group is doing and I tell my group to focus the mammoth if they want to complete the boss.

My guild has also gone up there in a group to mess with them for a while too.

You also can't get credit for this WB kill if you do not kill the mammoth even though the giant gives loot. The exploiters are taunting the mammoth far enough away to reset him to prevent other people from killing it.

EDIT: was this fixed with the last patch? Its the last WB I need in the RIft.

I ran through there the other day with my Treasure Hunter Pet Sorc and since he hadn't completed that boss yet, i went for the mammoth and managed to keep it aggro in the center and kill it.

Probably didn't make a lot of friends that day ...

LOL, this is just too bad ZOS, how can you let the exploiters abuse this spot so much and so long??? do you realize how much skulls they would farm like this? they would literally be able to fluctuate the price of the items from the skulls!!!

PLS FIX THIS ASAP!!! THIS IS A MAJOR BUG!!!!

They both need to die to drop an armor piece. You can farm either one over and over for 9 gold each kill, which is really inefficient.
