You can change the mouse sensitivity in the ini script in Skyrim, but aye the mouse speed is a factor hehe

I realise that it can be changed, but the sensitivity is perfect for each game. It just takes a while to adapt when switching between them  !

I've played Skyrim, all DLC and even a few very good player made DLC sized expansions. It kept me playing for almost 2 years. But that game is spent for me. I wouldn't want to return to it, and any single player game for that matter, once I got the taste of multiplayer games. I will keep on playing ESO for a long time, and it may well be the last game I ever play.

Dude, there's sooooooo many good single player games though. So many. You have: Xenosaga series, Mass Effect series, Pokémon series (unless battling people), Witcher series, Castlevania series, Fallout series, Mega Man series, Dark Souls series, etc. There are so many great games that are single player, that often times than not blow out multiplayer games by miles in terms of enjoyment and overall amazement.

Also, you're lucky in this regard. Because you're not transitioning between ESO and Skyrim. You're only playing ESO, and therefore have nothing to worry about in terms of getting your controls/commands all wonky. As well as mixing up your interfaces.

Oblivion > Morrowind imo. Morrowind graphics were great for the time but I couldn't ever look at that now. The best part of these 2 games imo and very shamefully admit is the staring at the sky lol. I'd happily submit to Molag Bal if he ever existed just so long as he'd bring the pretty skies of Oblivion over the UK to get rid of the grey.

    It's late.

In Morrowind you could do much more than stare at the sky. You could jump in it and land half an island away. I remember using something like fortify acrobatics spell -> jump spell -> do a sprinting jump in the right direction -> slow fall 2 seconds before impact. There were no horses and carts, just some slow boats along the coast and equally slow "silt strider" taxis that took hours to get you to the destination (it was actually a timed teleport in game). So the superman style jump was by far the fastest way to reach places, especially remote ones. After which you would use the recall spell, and travel trough Mages Guild portals and even some odd propylon chambers that were located in forts which were most times occupied by hostile NPCs. That game was truly epic. Before I played it I didn't even want to try MMOs because most were just isometric graphics grind fests like Diablo. The only fun ones I played before Morrowind were Fallout 1 & 2. No wonder they met a few years down the path ;)

Actually the best part by far is that single player TES games were so moddable. There are just awesome mods for every one of the last 3 titles. Even mods that allow you to play older games with a new engine, or simply update the game graphics close to the graphics in newer titles. I've actually replayed Morrowind 4 years ago, with a completely remastered graphics, and I really enjoyed it. Some modders have created DLC sized mods, with quests, some of them even voice acted by volunteers. There's also a dedicated team of mostly German modders that have created total conversion mods that completely remake the games, with a wholly new story. I've only played the mod they made for Oblivion, called Nehrim, and the main story was actually better than the vanilla game. It even included many things that came 3 years later in Skyrim, like weapon crafting and tempering. They have just launched the conversion for Skyrim, called Endereal. Just give it a check http://sureai.net/

Am only PC, but setting all the controls as close as possible to those of Skyrim worked for me.. had to move the Ult from R... but, playing with some new builds that require it to be closer lately I've moved it back.. not such a good idea when also playing Fo4... keep trying to reload and yeah well, you get the picture xD

I have Skyrim on PC and ESO is on my Xbox, so no problem for me. Even if I don't even play Skyrim anymore.

You just have to accept that theyre different games and thus, have different controls and feels. But I'm the same way with different shooters, I've gotten the controls for Call of Duty titles and Halo mixed up before.

I swap between first and third but it's primarily third person.
Now I had to change all the buttons to eSO like but you know what's the hardest thing for me....

The character models are terrible and move very bad. Now Skyrim is very old so whatever...we all knew what we were getting it was fun and now I've stopped and picked up the disc cause I knew it was just a fad for me

It's for sale on EBay

Still a good game tho it's just that ESO is now better looking by far and plays better.

I'll grab it again I'm sure when it's 50% off or more on Xbox one

No idea why Morrowind gets thrown into every single conversation relating to Skyrim or Oblivion like it's the pinnacle of all things TES. The game has dated badly, the combat is horrid and the stagnant npcs all add up to one larger issue. I get why people enjoy it and some consider it to be the pinnacle, but trying to sell that notion to most newcomers is only gonna end in disappointment to the majority of those who pick it up for the first time. If people aren't put of with graphics and badly dated games etc, then Daggerfall is arguably the better game and the more immersive experience, but that too takes a certain type of gamer to enjoy it for what it is.

Seriously, if anyone is going to pick up Morrowind for the first time, then be prepared for disappointment. Was great waaaay back yonder, but so was watching Bob Dylan live.

I have started playing Skyrim again since the remastered has been released. Since its been so long since I have played it, it's like starting all over again ( even had to look online on how the refine ore lol ) But i can transition fairly well from eso to skyrim back to eso again.

Same here. A bit of reviewing the things I did way back the original release and now having much fun playing it again. I must be grateful to ESO for the new things I learned (and value) because now I am playing as a Bosmer (because I like to kill from the shadows and from a distance). Long before ESO existed I choose Imperial on all TES games by default (due to the Speech ability and because I did not care much for race selection) but now my game play style is far more enjoyable due to me playing as bosmer.

Too bad the pretty bosmer girls only come from ESO because on Skyrim you can find only the grumpy and old ones (yeah I am playing as a girl on a single player game)

I'm noticing that I'm having trouble going between the 2 games at the moment, and was wondering if anyone has experienced this and or knows a way of how to be fluent and proficient in both games on the same platform.

I suppose the reason why it effects me so much going between these 2 games, is because they're both Elder Scrolls titles (I know it sounds silly). But like, when I was playing Skyrim previously back on PS3 — I wasn't playing other Elder Scrolls games. So things felt 'natural' to me. Then years later when playing ESO on PS4, I hadn't touched Skyrim in a long time. Thus ESO felt 'natural' to me upon picking up. Granted that I originally started ESO on Mac, but then transferred to PS4 months later. But now playing ESO and Skyrim on PS4 feels incredibly awkward to me (command/control-wise). I suppose because the system for combat are so dramatically different. But anyway, if anyone can give some advise on how making the transitions between the 2 easier, I'd appreciate it greatly. Because this is throwing me through a loop. Lol.

I do the same but I'm on PC so I was able to mod Skyrim to play and feel just like ESO, so I don't experience the kind of user lag or catch up you get from switching games.

now i understand your topic , is very hard to comeback to eso ,because you dont have the feeling to be in the tes universe , and tes game are so much dark :) but eso is still a good game but maybe more for casual player

Using hotkeys for your quick-menu spells and items lets you mimic the ESO playstyle pretty well and makes it a much more fast paced game, I've found. Of course the 3rd person character animations in Skyrim are soooo silly though
