Trinimac's Valor Set

It seems useless to me, I finally got all the pieces (had to buy a couple cause of traits) and I was so excited, but then after not even a half hour I switched back to my Worm's Raiment.

It only procs when you cast a damage shield on an ally. Meaning only Steadfast Ward would work and with only a 20% chance of proccing on top of that it makes it seem like the most useless set ESO has ever made.

Is there something I'm missing?

It's more of a healing set for DKs than anyone else.

It also procs on the DK group shield skill, but yes the five piece bonus has always been pretty underwhelming. I used to use the jewelry as a nice magicka regen set to complement crafted gear, but now that there are so many sets available I no longer use it at all.

It's garbage. I'm skeptical about the 20% proc rate and even if it was 20% it's still very underwhelming.

The set needs to work off of Combat Physician or something akin to it. Currently more underwhelming as a standalone than Imperium/Lunar Bastion imo.

    Isn't combat physician underwhelming itself?

As others have pointed out it's pretty much a dk healing set.

    No, pets.

Its useful for pet sorcs, giving them a boost when they run pets and shields.

Each pet iirc has a proc chance so 20% with double pets is more like 36% though they center on the pet so might not always see damage on the twilight proc.

Dragonknights and Pet Sorcerers can make good use of Trinimac's Valor, although I don't think it will ever be considered "Best in Slot" to the masses.

The magicka regeneration is really nice, of course!

I recently replaced my Dragonknight healer's Trinimac's Valor set with Spell Power Cure and I am really liking the change, although still adjusting for the changes to my regen.

It needs to be tweaked so that it affects the caster. With a slightly lower proc rate. I'm hoping the next balance update includes gear changes, especially to underused sets and crafted gear (which is well behind dropped now).

use it with the prayer set and it is pretty cool. prayer + trinimac + troll king or rkugamz is a nice set up.

but SPC + worm cult for PvE and Spc + transmutation for PvE still the king of the playground.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

I dusted off my pet Sorc for the Orsinium event.

I'm trying to get him through vMA right now, for no reason other than to see if it's possible.
Currently stuck at stage 7 ...

i tried on a dk with cp, but in my opinion proc of this set is lesser than 20%.

it should be 1 of 5, but instead is more 1 of 10-15

Your correct that its not t BiS.

While I've seen a dk heal vAA with it and no issues, it's content in farm for that group. In progression, and mostly any vet trial SPC coupled with one of several sets is preferred for the buffs they provide.

It will also proc off barrier ... but how often is that cast?? :|

You're right. The limited amount of spells that will proc it, along with the tiny 5 meter radius, means a limited use for the 5-piece bonus.

Not the best set, but I can't be bothered to farm SPC, and Trinimac was available at guild stores for a very low price. It's alright on my lizard, I can heal vet pledges and normal trials without issues.
Oh and yes, its proc rate is definitely lower than 20%. I actually get surprised every time steadfast ward procs it cos I forget that it exists.

I ran it for a while on my mDK tank when it first came out and it procced a LOT off igneous shield. There are just better sets for group support now, though.

I honestly got more use out of it when I had my MagDK tank up and running than I did on most of my healers. Nice little surprise every time it went off for the person that got it but overall a VERY disappointing set

I got a set together for my Templar healer with the view to using healing ward to proc it & I've not seen it proc yet. A different proc would be grand. Even though the set is pretty much useless to me... I don't want to get rid of it because it looks awesome! LOL :D

    Jep
    It looks awesome :)

When I did with the release of Orsinium the math, I was disappointed... and ignored it.

    ZOS could:
    1. let it proc from any damage shield you cast on an ally AND/OR yourself
    2. increase the radius to 8 meter

    Question:
Did anyone test whether it procs from Bone Shield ?

I had hoped this would Ben better on a Magicka Dragonknight using Igneous Shield but the proc rate seems so low. As if it was 20% on cast and not 20% for each Shield cast :(

I wanted igneous Shield to be op Af but my dreams were crushed.
