Since 1T, set gear drops like candy out of a pinata.I am a casual player. I wish I could afford the time or the gold to fully equip purple gear and jewelry. All my toons are equipped with 5 and 3 or 4 gear. I have yet to see a complete set of jewelry of any color.
I have four white stars.
Tell you the truth, if this is the kind of stuff that is required to feel like a hero again, then this may not be the game for me. I'll give the game another go this week. I ain't holding my breath.
Everything drops set gear now, including zone chests. And that includes jewellery.
Since 1T, I haven't seen a complete set of anything, ever, even searching the guild traders. I think I found two items of jewelry on the Traders once.
Complete set of purple gear? ~laughs~
If I want a complete set then I craft it.
I don't want a gun filled with uber bullets. I just want to feel less gimpy in overland encounters. My CP60 is on Stros M'Kai watching lowbies two-shot mobs. With timing, I could do that before 1T. Now I cannot.

✭✭Thing about 1 to 50 is, your leveling your character and skills, not really using them like in a build. Take advantage of the built in handicapping the game is giving you for your low level to level the skills you will use end game. So, one class skill on your bar at all times, one weapon skill on your bar at all times, one flex skill your leveling, wear a mix of all 3 types of armor. This will have you at 50 with your armor, weapon and class skills maxed. Then you can build your character from that.
Ignore the difference in damage the 1 to 50 is doing, it's not important. Gear up your champ rank character with all the sweet set drops you can get now and soon it will make the 1 to 50 look like a scrub with it's feet stuck in the mud and their hands tied behind their back.
I want to have fun questing and exploring NOW, not waiting for CP 160... cuz that could be a while. I was having fun. After the update, not as much.

Pick any set you think is good for you and go farming it. If you cant reach the zone through wayshrines, just do the questing and exploration you need to get there.
Now, consider this: those "lowbies" are probably guys who have their cp160 already done and have created new toons. Those new toons in level 10 are stronger than you BECAUSE they have nearly 600 CPS, and that makes a huge difference.

Yeah, all this "should" crap is really turning me off. I am glad people are having fun. I am not. I am not enjoying the upscaling. As I gain levels I feel less powerful. Don't hold your breath. It's a very small minority that are balking at One Tamriel. Most of them, like you, simply aren't willing to accept the scaling model. My advice is to adapt or go to one of the dozens of other games that put you on rails through the leveling process and don't have scaling.Edited by Kutsuu on November 4, 2016 2:37AMPC/NA
