Spriggan And Sheer venom Set questions

Couple of questions if anyone could answer:

Sheer venom Set's last bonus: When you deal damage with an Execute ability you infect the enemy, dealing 8428 Poison Damage over 6 seconds. What is an Execute ability?

Spriggan: The 5th bonus: Adds 4000 Physical Penetration. Does this effect damage over time abilities like the Poison dot from Venom arrow? the Poison dot from the Vicecannon set? Bleeds from Duel Wield Skills?

Executes: poison injection, steel tornado (not sure), crap from 2hander (don't remember how it's called), radiant (both morphs), mage's wrath (both morphs), impale (both morphs)

If spriggans fifth bonus is active then yes they mitigate 4k extra armor of your victim

Anything that deals an increased amount of damage as the targets health reaches a certain threshold. Executioner, Steel Tornado, Mages Wrath, Radiant Destruction, Poison Injection, ect.

Physical Resistance protects against anything that isn't spell or magicka damage, so physical penetration will increase your damage from all of those sources, yes.

EDIT: My question is, if I tag you with a poison injection at full health, does the set proc? It doesn't say the target has to actually be in execute range to proc the set.

Set will proc, but the extra damage from poison is not going to proc until enemy has less 50% health

Have you tested this at all? It seems very odd if that's how it works seeing as how every execute has a different threshold.

It doesn't depend on weapon's execute range treshold, the bonus is applied when you use ability itself.

No, not precisely tested but in pvp my enemies marked with injection have 2 dot's running, and all i use is sheer venom (no poisons aswell)(I'm there for caltrops only, so i'm leeching ap in the keeps, bars filled with leveling skills from another weapon skill lines)

Removing 4k of armor would b equal to what on average in terms of damage? Would it be better than other sets that say give 5% bow damage or 8% bow damage vs enemy players?

Sheer Venom will proc as soon as your skill deals damage. Your target does NOT need to be in execute range. But with for example Poison Injection, it is only the DoT that has an execute feature. So Sheer Venom will prov with first DoT tick, and not initial hit. Have tested this myself. Other abilities might give similar strange results. Mage Wrath for example.

App. around 8% damage increase. But please remember it does not work on Shielded or Low Resist targets.

Sheer venon Set hard to get? are the pieces for sale regularly or rarely? Im more of a Cyrodiil player. I have no problem farming the Spriggan set i am just not a group dungeon person that would be needed for Sheer venom.....

Which do you think would be better for me to use with VIcecannon? In Cyrodiil I really enjoy Vicecanon proc after i sneak attack then venom injection. I split my CPS in might and damage over time. DO you think the Sheer venom dot would be better for me or the armor penentration? Would all the dots stack?

Sheer Venom is from ICP Dungeon. So it is a grind to get, if you want weapons and jewelry. Body is easy to farm.

All the dots would stack. What would provide most damage is difficult to say, without proper testing.

Personally i would go Venom simply because Venom + Vicecannon = GG .. Proc both those and the pressure will be intense.

Sheer venom proccs on the dot portion of poison inj regardless of how much hp target has. Proccs 2s after initial hit. Spriggan penetrates 4k resist with poison, disease and physical dmg.

I believe it only can effect 1 target at a time. Im pretty sure Deltia did a video about this set and was dissapointed because of this.

Poisonous Serpent or Swamp Raider have set bonuses that dovetail nicely with poison damage sets.

And yes it you have the fifth piece of spriggans the dot with ignore X resistances.

Sheer Venom will actually be a strong set in dueling or 1v1 especially no that it has weapons and jewelry.

Curiously there is also a set that turns light and heavy attacks into executes. Does this also cause la/ha to proc the poison?

Kvetch Gladiator. Hmm. Interesting. I will attempt to test this but I only have a necklace at the moment. I'll make someone Gladiator armor on PC/NA if someone wants to test this.
