How many crowns would you pay for a retrait stone?

Despite my answer, I think that if this was only done via the crown store, it would be pay to win.

For the record, I very much support a "trait change stone" in some way shape or form. I just think that if its in the crown store, it also needs to be in game. I would imagine a stone with a very small drop chance from doing a large variety of content. I would like the stone to have a drop rate to make the street value around 100k or so. That way trait change is possible, but it is not trivial. If they did that, they could add it in the crown store for whatever the heck they wanted

I wouldn't pay anything. Master crafters should be able to re-trait for free.

This. Nothing more need be said.

Perhaps, but it shouldnt be free. It should require some item that is relatively rare AND requires a master crafter to use. Everyone is a master crafter; it's frankly pretty meaningless. If everyone could instantly change all their traits for no charge, it would not be good for the health of the game or the economy.

Again, Trait Change should absolutely be possible, but it shouldnt be trivial to accomplish.

Only if it reduced the item to white quality and lowered it's requirements by 10CP each time it was re-traited...

Personally, I'd much rather see a style change instead.

That would make it meaningless. The quality part doesnt bother me, but nobody is going to change a trait to CP 150.

    0. Re-traiting should be possible for any master crafter as long as you have the trait researched just like if they ever implement a "transmog" system, you should be able to change the style to any motif you have unlocked. All it should cost is the correct gem and maybe some gold for a money sink.

Just like Enemy said, a master crafter should be able to retrait gear. They should just make it cost like 3-4 more trait stones to retrait.

Oh it would nees to cost more than that. Trait stones flow like water. 10 gold mats imo

I agree that Master Crafters should be able to retrait for nothing. But would pay if there was no other option.

Max crafters should be able to do it by sacrificing 100 of the trait stone you want to change it to.

Give us some kind of token system or let crafters have the ability to change traits.

Or give us END GAME GEAR with the CORRECT traits and eliminate this problem completely.

This would be considered borderline p2w. For example ,changing your prosperous weapon into a BiS for real money should not be a thing.

No one should pay extra money to manipulate poor RNG and it's wildly varying trait usefulness. What a slippery slope of bilking through garbage design. No thanks. I'd much rather not have retraiting at all than to make it pay-2-win.

(Also, there's not much 'earned' concerning RNG drops - it's just luck + grind time)

Now master crafter in-game currency options: that's respectable.

That should be something that happens in-game.

Re-traiting a BoE item makes it bound to your account. Though it wouldn't be a big deal because most of the items people would like to retrait would be bound to begin with.

They would have to reduce drop rates of monster helms again though.

Adding retrait to the game? Sure.

Putting it in the Crown Store? Absofragginlutely not. That would be uninstall time for me.

I'd prefer if you were able to do it as a Master crafter with the following rules:

    -Master Crafter
    -75% fixed success chance
-will cost mats, about 5x what you would need if you were to craft that item
    -10 trait stones
-you have 2 of the exact armor/weapon type (head, chest, dagger, 2H-axe, etc.) which will be destroyed if re-forging failed
-only BoP items can be re-forged
-at least 7 traits researched for that item, including the one you want it traited into

I'd still like some form of RNG hence the 75% success chance, and the risk of losing 5x mats (a lot for CP160). A bit of a risk is exciting ;)

I'm far from the expert on the game. Just a now and again returnee.

I've looked at the loot sets and some of them look interesting / good. I've looted some nice pieces and may use them.

But on the whole I'd rather just stick to crafted sets. That gives me absolute control over not only traits but also my appearance.

I wouldn't pay a thing. We don't need to monetize any more of the game. P2W games are trash.

(first poll option aligns best with what I personally believe I guess.)
