ESO ON Nintendo Switch?!?!?!?.............

    I mean....I have a PC so.....hell no.

Still going to buy a Switch though :)

Yeah. I wouldn't get it on Switch if ESO didn't use the same megaservers as the PC or other console counterparts. It would be comforting to be able to play ESO in my bed or another room when I can't use the tele.

I'm definitely getting Switch day one for Zelda, though. :)

Oh! Someone mentioned raging at PvP...just chuck the Joy-Cons across the room, of course! They're cheap to replace. :P

lol at that awkward hunk of crap. Even in the ads it looks pointless. "you can play mario kart on the way to real go karting!"

A PERFECT SCORE! The switch looks great and I am definitely picking one up when it launches.

Hold on. Let me go get the duct tape.

Disclaimer: I do have a PS4 and like it only because I play most third-party games on console instead of PC for convenience (though...there have barely been any games this gen that appeal to me at all from third-parties), but I wish it had more first-party exclusives and better design choices. Hence why I'm seling it and my Wii U for the Nintendo Switch when that comes out. The PS4 Pro is the Whopper of the PS4 Original's sandwich design and is laughable at best when it comes to overall raw power compared to my gaming PC, so I'm willing to make the sacrifice in power for portability with the Nintendo Switch.

A game like ESO, on a handheld? HAHAHAH!

I play ESO on nVidia Shield K1 without any problems O.o

...I just looked it up. I cannot believe you can do Triple A gaming on a Tablet.

They are confusing streaming and actually running the game on the device. Ignore any and all tech comments from them from here on.

Funny. If you watched the trailer, you would notice Skyrim Remastered was playing on the Switch. Sure, it was just video footage, but it gauges how powerful the tech is. Based on what we saw in the trailer, ESO is more than capable of running on the Nintendo Switch if it 'can' run Skyrim Remastered.

That isn't hard at all. But this IS Nintendo we're talking about, so we'll just have to wait and see. We'll know on Jan. 12th what games are coming to the platform, for sure.

Slylok was referring to nVidia Shield, which cannot run Skyrim, it just streams from your PC - so it's not really gaming on a handheld. Switch can run it on its own.

    necromancy

Thought I would necro this thread because the switch hype is getting real, but there isn't much more information than before. We now know for sure that switch will run Skyrim, and the specs look like they could support eso. In addition eso has shown that it can and does appeal to console players.

So how about it? As someone who travels for work a lot (I'm on a three hour bus journey now), and has a lot of downtime in random places away from my pc, I would get a switch just for eso on the go. A character copy would be good, but I really would retire my 3 year old account I've spent over a thousand pound on just for the convenience of playing the game wherever I am.

Lol. That gaming station is genuinely beautiful, although perhaps not as mobile as I hoped.

And I think you probably know that the low fps isn't due to technical specs of that rig and everything to do with eso.

I would love ESO on the Switch. That thing is one sexy beast and hope that hybrid consoles/handhelds are the future of gaming.

No, why would anyone own anything Nintendo unless they have kids. They are constantly inferior systems compared to the competition.

    1) They have some of the most fun games. Screw all the "esports" or "my graphics can beat up your graphics" consoles.

    2) It's the first actual mobile, full featured games promised, console.
I'll support that in hopes that we get everything that way. I've always wanted to play Skyrim mobile and hopefully with a touch-screen for menus.

    3) It also allows us the, previously stuck only in mobile devices, accelerometer and gyroscope technology that is perfect for aiming even more accurately and intuitively than with a joystick or less than ideal motion control of a console, without needing a VR headset. Holding the screen in your hands makes aiming where you want pretty obvious.

Yeah , I don't think that's going to happen. But I'm buying a Nintendo Switch. I was going to buy one for the new Zelda and future pokemon games , Skyrim is just icing on the cake.

Yup, buying it for Zelda alone.

I probably won't bother with Skyrim, I have it on PC already and it is modded beyond recognition now.

That's the only thing I'll miss on the Switch version of Skyrim, mods. But, they may add the ability to do them in the future. They will if they're smart.
I'm still supporting it and can still kind of break the mechanics to "cheat" like before consoles had mods.
