Ummm I KNOW yall saw that Skyrim Remastered edition on there. Do you think ESO will port it to Nintendo when the new system comes out in March? The population for ESO would prob sky rocket!

If it becomes available would you buy ESO on the new Nintendo Switch?

No, why would anyone own anything Nintendo unless they have kids. They are constantly inferior systems compared to the competition.

    Rofl yeah right.....

No way to talk to others and no way to type either. Seriously doubt you're going to see MMO server types for this platform based on what was presented so far.

We'll have to wait and see but my uneducated guess is no way

Well with the reveal trailer they made one thing clear: They are NOT aiming solely for kids as their audition, you see nothing but young adults playing in the trailer.

And Nintendo seems to be especially popular among people that age (20-30 years) since many grew up with that stuff.

Its not just gimmicks this time, its more about just playing videogames, a more mature console I think, and im absolutely on NIntendos Side with their Presentation.

Looked at the space footprint on Xbox before Tuesday's download. 72 gigs.

If the switch can handle 128 gig cartridges, the frame rate, and can handle the net speed requirements, then it may just be a matter of whether to fold the switch into one of the console servers or intro them to the pc server crowd. I would expect them to go onto a console server, but then which one? And would that lead to a Multi Console server that mixes Xbox and Nintendo and Ps4?

Too many questions and different ways things could shake out, to be more than just talk at this time.

Prior to the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer, Pete Hines mentioned in an interview(dont know the date right now), they consider working with Nintendo. But they only do so, if the restrictions (talking about the power of the new console) are gone.
I think its save to assume, that the console is atleast as strong as the XboxOne or maybe PS4 since those will run Skyrim Remastered(which we've seen a couple times in the trailer).

Bethesda did do Mobil -on-the-go-games. Anyone remember Shadowkey? Dawnstar? Stormhold?
They didn't do to well. But, single player games like Skyrim would be cool. But I doubt we ever see a MMO the size of ESO on one tho.

I play ESO on nVidia Shield K1 without any problems O.o with a small BT mouse and keyboard stand/case which I have with me at all times anyway so...(or you can use controller or them controller stands/whatever)
Only chatting can prove to be tad difficult unless I dramatically upscale the UI or pinch to zoom in on the text box but otherwise it plays like a dream. All you need is a good connection.
For playing on the go it is a LOT more convenient than carrying a bulky laptop with me.
And it's not just ESO, I have my entire steam and even non-steam library with me anywhere I go.
I even played EVE Online on it which is a game with heavy multitasking and micromanagement focus.

I used Miracast to wireless project ESO to my Nvidia Shield 2 years ago but there was no controller support back then and I hated the futzy workaround through 2 different apps just to control the character.

I understand why some Gamers would be very excited, but personally, I'm not really impressed by the Switch.

Like me for that, hate me for it, it's still my first impression based off Nintendo's teaser video. It seems to be yet another gimmick IMO.

My mind might be changed as future and further information is released, but the "hype-train" doesn't even have the boiler warmed up, much less have started rolling for me.

I don't know... we'll wait and see what the future brings.

A 4th console is exactly what we don't need for as long as cross compatibility does not exist. Single player games, sure. But for communitities of online the more you divide them between picking a console and wall them off the worse it is.

    Adding to my other thought:

Do I really need yet another way to play games?

    In my house, we have:
    3x Xbox One
    2x PS4
    1x Gaming rig (my baby)

Do I really need yet another gaming system?

I think not (and I'd have a real hard time justifying it to the wife...). Thus, this newest Nintendo gimmick system will have to be ignored.

My gaming cart is so very full...

Yup, buying it for Zelda alone.

I probably won't bother with Skyrim, I have it on PC already and it is modded beyond recognition now.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.
