Race change and motifs

So apparently when you do a race change you do not gain the ability to craft in the style of the race your character is now. If you start as a wood elf and change to an imperial you can only craft bosmer not imperial unless of course you learn the style books. So as much as race change costs they cannot and will not fix what appears to be a glitch. So just an FYI to everyone.

I don't see this as a big deal since most of the playable race motifs sell for less than 200 gold.

Sounds like he wanted to buy his way into the Imperial motif. Which is why they don't allow this.

If he/she can change to the imperial race the. Anything crafted can be changed to that motif so that is a non issue.

Remember finding the Imperial Motif 3 times while just stealing from the Davon's Watch Inn. Used 1, gave the 2nd to a friend and sold the last one.

Never found the Imperial Motif again after that.

Since When did Imperial sell for 200 gold? I mean it's not a big deal I could buy one if I want I just find it kinda crappy that with as much as race change costs they don't switch over the crafting style.

Not at all, I have it learned on my main. Originally I made a stam sorc Bosmer but then I wanted to switch to tank so I switched to Imperial and then noticed the crafting didn't switch over. I could buy Imperial in game I have the gold.

Uhm yeah cause that's cheating technically. Just buy the motif if that's all you're considering race change for.

That's actually better as it's in-game gold vs real money in most cases. Imperial is the exception for real money but Imperial motif with in-game gold makes the most logical sense.

It's not a big issue just a minor annoyance mainly due to the cost of the race change, that and if I was not aware maybe someone else was not aware either.

I did not do race change to get the motif, I did race change for the passives which are useful for tanking. I have Imperial learned on my main which is my nine trait crafter

No one that can change to an imperial race needs the imperial motif. It's a basic and we'll know part of the package that allows someone to play imperial that they can morph anything crafted to imperial.

So cost of the imperial motif is mute.

The word is actually moot btw, as in a moot point. A mute point makes no sense, just because it is fine for you to be able to convert to Imperial does not mean that is fine for everyone. I may just buy the motif for 100k or w/e it goes for these days. I have the style learned on my main otherwise I could not craft for others in Imperial.
