Out of curiosity because I wanna know a fun magika class to play, I know this might be subjective but I wanna know your reasoning on why you would recommend your class? maybe the flow or rotation feels nice?

probably magicka NB;

shadow port, jumping off things, luring,

shadow cloaking and being invisible whilst running through zergs undetected

In the past magicka nb vampires could stack run speed and I used to do a lot of crazy jumping and running around; I climbed on top of a lot of things and getting out of the maps

When it comes to questions like this you are going to get a lot of bias Every class has something to offer. here is my observations I am trying not to be bias but my main is a mag Nightblade

Nightblade: can generate ultimate faster. has the highest sustain. good support and heal moves. Awesome ultimates one of them super cheap and generates more ult by killing while slotted. weaknesses low DPS, DOTS are short duration requiring constant application.

Templar: An all around class great healers decent tanks. Can heal and deal damage at the same time. Gains buffs from certain moves. Weaknesses: DPS is only high during the execute phase. most key skills are expensive, Crap and very situational and expensive ultimates one only good for group play.

DK: Good self heals and lots of strong DOTs means a skilled player can draw on a lot of DPS. This class is one of the better PvE classes. Has great ultimates though expensive can recover resources through ultimates. Weaknesses: Many situational and mixed passives. Overall poor resource recovery compared to other classes. Reliance on DOTS and stupid circles makes them crap at PvP.

Sorc: Alright I'm stumped on this one I'm sorry I can't figure out what to think...

Run a Magplar full cheese with reactive and malubeth . Which ever magic suit that fits play style . You almost never die unless you are just very slow .

These posts kinda make me sad. They remind me that each class pretty much has one play style/ability layout for each major stat, magicka or stamina. I wish the developers would take note of this...

For me, the funnest Magicka class to play is Magicka Sorcerer. They're fast, nimble, and have a much different playstyle than a Templar.

That being said, I love my Templars, but I have a lot of fun running nMA on my Sorcerer and having a good time with a different playstyle.

They have several passives that gain them faster ultimate. Each time they use a potion they get flat ultimate, and each time they hit a siphoning skill they get more ult regen.

All classes are fun

The most versatile I would say is magica templar, a class that is good at everything and relatively easy to play. Best/great healer (variety of taste i guess), great DPS, great tanks/healtanks and great for solo play since you can do damage and heal at the same time.

But all classes can be good at just about anything if you play it right

MagDK is mostly DoT things to death since the class has no spammable, when templar has both sweeps and dark flare for DDing.

First off I have one of each magicka class.
For me my favorite is magicka Nightblade.
Very high mobility, many higher damage attacks that also heal you, very easy to sustain all resources(even in a 15m fight you will always have enough magicka and stamina).
Easy to swap a few skills around to adapt to any situation in pug groups.
Decent solo capabilities with healing from damage.
More complicated rotations than sorcerer and templar, less than magicka dragon knight, a good middle path.
Can do very nice dps for a magicka class with a good rotation and weaving. (no I will not argue this with people, magicka classes are fairly well balanced between the 4, just do less then stamina)
Easy to do most annoying and frustrating content in the game VMsA with.
I rarely pvp so no comment on magblade pvp.

It all comes down to personal preference, and 85% of my gameplay is on my magblade.

Take magplar. Its more versatile, it has aoes and single target skills, melee and ranged, powerfull long lasting buffs and cheap purify, great execute while mag dk has none, amazing resource managment. Only thing magplar lacks is ultimate, but there is lot aviable to all classes that can be used instead.
My personal choice is mag sorc but its hard to play and requires very good gear to be efective (at least 35-40k magica depends on setup), has only one effective aoe skill, has no melee magica skills, good resource managment, good defense, no spamable class dps skill, no spamable class heal so its very hard to play without resto/destro staves, best burst class (at least wen we dont count proc sets, because if we do, any stam class is better).

I main a magicka sorc, very fun to play imo because of liquid lightning and wall of elements on a fire staff proc's llambris you also have hardened ward which is a bonus.

My main is also a Magicka Sorcerer. I have so much fun playing her. But it's a matter of what you consider fun I guess.

I love it when Crystal Blast procs after every spell you cast. Sorcs do a lot of a mage then.

Templars get boring after a while, something about jabs just gets very tedious. My buddy told me they think it's because you are not animation cancelling as much so it feels slower.

MagDK are fun with the dot management, but starts to feel less fun when you realize that you can't execute, that at no point do you ever change your rotation lol.

MagBlades fun, invisibility cool looking skills to many, lots of self heals and you can also spam ultimates lol. Not as much dps as the others but meh is cool. Amd if you get food you can achieve dastardly high numbers.

MagSorc, streak teleport lol awesome, if you like pets here you go, shields mines curses frags are satisfying. Great DPS aswell and pairs really well with ilambris the coolest monster set.

Overall between MagBlade and MagSorc, I Kean towards magSorc. But the MagBlades are really good aswell.
