World boss loot mechanics hoses tanks

The issue isn't the mechanics...even though you should be able to adjust to a DPS build easily with a few gear swaps...it's the fact that people are farming these things like crazy right now.
Wait until the event is over and then you can happily taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, taunt, hold block and count to ten, taunt, with your buddies all over again.

Good advice but I don't know man, this isn't WoW. Tanks have actual skills and rotations, contributing buffs and damage to group play. What if I get out dps'd by some hotshot tank and can't get that sweet sweet loot?1 -

Tanks don't -just- taunt. They take more damage than the other guys, and there are tons of people who do this in PvP.
Hell, way back in the day 80% of Cyrodiil consisted of unkillable DK tanks. Those are gone, but there are still plenty of tank builds in Cyrodiil.0
