Would you use item sets with strictly quality-of-life bonuses?

I mean all 5 slots having bonuses that would have little to no use in actual combat. Just some ideas:

Wraith's Raiment
  • (2 items) Increase sneak speed by X%
  • (3 items) Increase sneak speed by X%
  • (4 items) Your stealth detection radius is decreased by X meters
  • (5 items) The stamina cost of sneak is reduced by 100%

Rags of the Beggar
  • (2 items) Gain Major Fracture, decreasing your Physical Resistance by 5280
  • (3 items) Gain Major Breach, decreasing your Spell Resistance by 5280
  • (4 items) Gain Major Maim, decreasing your damage done by 30%
  • (5 items) Every container you open has a 50% chance of containing at least 1 gold piece

Courier Mail
  • (2 items) Mount speed is increased by X%
  • (3 items) Mount speed is increased by X%
  • (4 items) Mount speed is increased by X%
  • (5 items) Sprinting while mounted does not consume the mount's stamina

Experimental Magic
  • (5 items) You gain the ability to walk near the surface of water, but slaughterfish may still nibble at your toes.

Feel free to share whatever other sets you think of. I just cobbled together some things I would have found useful/fun to have earlier.

No option for maybe. The idea behind Wraith's Raiment would work great for Heists and Sacraments. The other three not so useful at all.

Your examples here aren't really the best.

But yes, we definitely need more sets that are focusing on other things than just powah!

    - Sneaking sets (we actually have several of these, I used them for the godawful TG and DB dailies)

    - Sets that grant speed of various kinds (there is one in game, but it's at a utterly useless + 10% speed. We need something that grants you much more speed, and of course you'd then not get any of the damage bonuses you usually get from sets)

    - Sets that grant bonuses to crafting, to harvesting, to refining, whatever. Just something that would be fun or useful on a crafter/gatherer. Hells, the 5 bonus might even be a large bonus to the prosperous trait, making the trait actually have some merit

    - Sets that give you higher jumps and reduced fall damage

    - Sets that reduced the amount of RNG crap (larger % chance of better rewards from dailies, quests or whatever)

Sure, why not? I'm running out of room in my hoard of armor-hauling mules, but I can't resist another set; especially if it looks decent.

Speaking of slaughterfish, I really wish ZOS would work on removing some of those infested areas. I want to circumnavigate the coastline of Glenumbra without getting eaten.

I thought about including one that increased jump height, but figured it'd probably be super buggy at first since nothing in the game does anything like that.

    Then again, neither is water-walking.

    Nah
Voted no. Let me explain why.

There is already a set that boost mounted speed by 15%. It is called Cyrodiil Ward. elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Ward+of+Cyrodiil+Set

There is also several sets that make sneak easy. Here is one. elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Night+Mother's+Embrace+Set

IMHO, beggar set idea kills the end game grinding. And water walking would make cyrodiil even worse lol.

I would like a fishing-oriented set that increased the chance of getting rare fish slightly.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    Jester's Folly Set

(2 items) Your emotes waiting at dolmens / inns / banks are funnier by X%
(3 items) Increase pet cuteness by X%
(4 items) Chest detection radius while grouped is increased by X meters

Nonono, it would absolutely have to be one that looks like a fish.
Then I would be able to show my friends to everybody in town in a salmon suit.

I'd enjoy a Set like this one, for farming Materials:

    Dilligent Gatherer:

2 ) Your detection radius is reduced by 50%
3 ) Increase the amount of raw ressources looted, by 25% from every node
4 ) When deconstructing items or refining raw material, you have a 10% increased chance to receive tempers.
5 )While no Battlespirit Buff is active, both your movement speed with and without horse are increased by 10% and Sprint Cost reduced by 50%.

    Awesome.

I myself have always used Wykkyd to swap in Cyrodiil's Ward and Fiord's sets for movement speed boosts swapped in instantly (as long as you're not in combat - getting caught in level 19 green Fiord's armor could be a problem in Cyrodiil occasionally but at that speed there's not the slightest chance someone will dismount you as you zoom by). I used it just last night to zoom to Vlastrus on a non-PvP-geared magDK when I wanted to go spend AP on Sergeant's and Armor of Truth boxes.
