This is actually a pretty decent guide. I tried being a NB healer with my Breton when I first started out (and I actually helped run healing on some Craglorn delves and the like) but then realized that my Templar was already a pretty good healer on its own and wanted to try to concentrate on being a full DPS NB.
All I can say is that up to Craglorn and some vet dungeons, it works. Never tried it on trials or in IC but Im sure it could possibly be done.

I've done every fight in the game as a nightblade healer. All trial hard modes, all of the new vet dungeon hardmodes, everything. It works.
He's the healer Tamriel deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hurt his tank. Because he can heal them to full. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful rejuvinator. A Cloaked Healer.

    Hi,

Finally got my forum account signed up so I could respond to this!

I am new to ESO and I always play healers in MMO's but I felt I wanted something slightly different/challenging this time instead of a bog standard healer and this is perfect!

Took my a while to find out that the skills where morphs of base skills!

I have a couple of questions and was hoping you could answer them?

    1. As I am new and leveling, i dont know how the points system works so I am building the full healing skills as I go.. as your build suggests at top level what skills to have and I dont know if a skill reset exists? (I am stacking full magicka btw im talking about actual spells)
    2. I am using a resto staff to level with, is this a problem? Or am I perfectly fine to level with absolutely anything? Just thinking about damage and stuff like that.
    3. When I get to level 15 I can swap bars I think i understand that, when you are healing what would be the reason for swapping bars on the full healing setup? As far as I can see the cooldowns on spells are not very long if any on most.
    4. Should I put skill points into spells that are not in your build just so I can level up that whole tree faster?
    5. Do you have an excess amount of Spell Points by end game so that I dont need to worry about what I put my points in?

Thanks again for this awesome guide, pretty good for a new person also!

I might suggest adding how you would level part just for us new people? :)

Thanks in advance for your replies! :)

    1. You can do a skill respec, or just a morph respec by going to the shrine. You can follow these instructions for that - here
I would recommend at least leveling every nightblade skill until you can morph them, just in case you want to use them. The only NB skill I don't use in one situation or another is agony. The rest of the skills either find my way into situational fights/ pve/ dps rotation. I would also try to level everything in the Resto Staff skil line.
    2. You're fine leveling with a resto staff. I would also try to level your proficiency in destro staff and dual wield if you get a chance.
    3. Bar swapping is pretty crucial in almost any build you'll ever use in ESO for anything. The fact that you only have 5 skills per bar, and one is basically a dead slot (inner light) makes you extremely limited if you don't swap bars. You're going to want to swap bars to reapply siphoning attacks. You'll also want to do sap essence in AoE pulls.
    4. Yes. Some other skills I didn't mention that are valuable are Elemental Drain (Destruction Staff), Necrotic Orbs (Undaunted), Siphon Spirit (Resto Staff), all of these skills will help dps in your group sustain their magicka better if you want to be more suppiortive. There are quite a few skills that become useful in certain situations.
    5. Yeah, if you do all of the quests, gather all the skyshards and such, you'll have a ton of skillpoints eventually.

I dunno if you are still around, but as my first post I just wanted to say thanks for this build! When I first started playing ESO on the PS4 beta, I knew I wanted to play my NB as something different and while it took me a while to get the gear, I can say for certain that this healer-dps hybrid actually works and works well <3 !

But I do have a question for you or any other nightblade healers out there, do you see the gear sets changing once One Tamriel launches? I know since shadow of hist came out I've been using SPC/Gossamer set. And while I do like the added team buffs, I miss the DPS from willpower/kena sets :'( . So I'm just wondering if any nightblade healers out there see anything that catches their eye in update 12..

    Awesome Guide @omfgitsbatman :)

I was searching for a build that had both dps and healing and thanks to you I have it right here.

I am leveling a bosmer (the worst race for magicka :# ) NB with every skill line, physical and magic, just to experiment and learn the game better, as soon as all weapons 2H, 1+S, DW & Bow are fully maxed out in every morph, I can respec attributes and skill morphs to invest in magicka and explore the world through a mage's eye, maybe I could even reroll race and go magicka permanently or roll a new alt.

I appreciate all the love this community offers and hope to play my part in too when I am experienced enough and ready. o:)
