New Craftable set idea "The Glutton"

Amorpho
Amorpho
✭✭✭✭
Just a crazy idea I had for a new craftable set

The Glutton (9 traits)
Max Health (2 pieces)
Max Magicka (3 pieces)
Max Stamina (4 pieces)
Gluttonous Feast (5 pieces):
Allow the consumption of 1 drink and 1 food at the same time. Similar effects stack together.

Basically like TBS but with food and drinks instead of Mundus Stones :)

What do you think?

It's 9 traits and why is it OP? No spell damage and no critical damage at all. Not available in jewellery either. I think this set will allow you to mix things up quite a bit.

I don't know if I understand what you mean by "similar effects stack together"

So if I eat purple food and drink orzorga's drink, I'll have about 10k extra health + the recovery + the purple food extra stats?

Sounds interesting at first glance, but in what kind of setting would this set really thrive? There's better options for PvE, and I'm not sure it has that much to offer for PvP either.

I've not really had much time to think about it, but I am sure that it would be really good for something. You could start using Mundus Stones that increase crit or crit chance or weapon and spell damage instead of those focused on regen, because you would get your stat increase and regen through the food+drink.

As long as it also gives a costume that adds 100 pounds to the characters midsection. Then the name fits....

Would those elitists use this set tho? I doubt most would give up their existing Proc sets just to have a food and drink buff active at the same time. And with all the new recipe's that came with the Witches festival, there might not be much use for it anymore.

I could see this being REALLY useful for magicka tanks. Esp orzorga's red frothgar + the new double potent brew (max mag max health mag rec).

And there is a reason people don't stack stam or magicka only for damage, you NEED crit and flat damage to hit those great damage numbers. For PvP, however, something like green recovery drinks and orzorgas might be a -touch- too strong.

My head filled with different builds already . *theorycrafting intensifies*

This would be totally awesome but I have an objection about similar effects stacking . This would cause even more cancer in PvP even though it looks real good in PvE . More Max Stat stacking is already an issue in PvP . If similar effects wouldn't stack , this would be somewhat balanced set .

This sounds like a really fun idea actually. But I also fear it could be a little overpowered.
In case its overpowered though, there could be a simple "75% effectiveness of the 2nd food consumed" rule be included and its all cool again.

It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time in closed beta to realize that food and drink didn't stack. Certainly stacking the same stat bonus is a bad idea, but simultaneous stat bonus and recovery bonus doesn't seem OP.

Yes, but with this set you could only choose one. The advantage, though is that you could add the effect of 1 food and 1 drink at the same time.

I agree with you. Magicka Tanks would love it (since they would not need Crit or Spelldamage for their build). For PVP it would be the same. People would have to sacrifice a 5 piece proc set for this, so I think those leaning more towards tanking would use it.

I honestly don't think it would be OP either in PVP or PVE. Unless some theorycrafter actually came up with a build that clearly is, I think this is quite a balanced set, giving you a lot of stats and regen but at the expense of DPS. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom why not implement it in the next PTS? After all the community has been wanting new 9 traits sets :)

It's 9 traits and why is it OP? No spell damage and no critical damage at all. Not available in jewellery either. I think this set will allow you to mix things up quite a bit.

Since there are now drinks that give Max Resource bonuses, this could be potentially OP.
Remember that 1000 Max Magicka ~ 100 Spell damage, and Max Stamina ~ 100 Weapon damage.

Although, in general, I like the proposal.
Much more balanced than some other proposals on this forum that I had the privilege to waste my time reading.

Although I would agree with you, I would then have to ask you: "What about the Necropotence Set?" That takes some players easily beyond the 50k Magicka pool...

Why is it ridiculous? Other than larger pools and larger recovery, you'd have no extra weapon or spell damage or crit damage, nor any other DPS proc.
