Dueling should have been implemented in an ARENA, with customization matches, and wagering. This would have taken it out of the general population, and made for a far better system.

It amazing you missed the parts where he said or made the suggestions that "everyone" agrees with him. He isn't speaking from an opinion view point he is trying to speak for "everyone" there is a BIG difference.

That's an insult. I have played so many other mmos and pretty much all of them has a way better management on their games. I wonder what Angry Joe would say if he reviewed the game 2 years later...

You are exaggerating, I have not seen hardly anyone in game complaining. Way more people like it than dislike it.

Just because you don't like it does not mean everyone doesn't as you claim. Congratulations some guy you watch on YouTube quit as well, is that suppose to mean something?

As others have said this is a mmo, I don't play mmos for peace and tranquility. If you like other games so much more what is stopping you from playing them?

Oh and dueling has yet to interfere with any thing I do in the game, so can we stop using that as an excuse to try and get rid of dueling. Btw I don't duel, I just don't see the point in trying to suck the fun out of the game for others.

Suck it up for 3 months. Merging all alliances into a single instance was probably necessary to free up space for the who knows how many instances of player houses coming in the next update, and once that feature arrives the overcrowding is likely to be hugely reduced.

In a couple of months lots of places will be quiet again. I love the changes though. Well most of them.

First impressions of 1T is both good and bad for me personally

-I see many more people in the game, more than I have ever seen before, on the plus side it makes the environment seem more lively, on the negative side when I went to farm in Craglorn it was literally stripped bare, making it much harder to get the materials I need for my crafting writs and get nirncrux for my researching, lately the writs have been quite enjoyable for me to do, so bit of a let down there as I don't have a ton of time to play and will need to spend more time collecting mats for the same result. I also experienced my first negative player experiences in the year I have had the game taking a chest while fighting a mob and again taking some mats while I was fighting a mob, no big deal, more players in the game mean more of those types of players, I can live with it, part of the game.

-Dueling, wow there was a lot! I expect it to die down, but when I was using the wayshrine from Mournhold, the maps would not seem to load, took 2-3 minutes of just sitting there, never had that problem before, does it have to do with all the dueling? I dunno, but if it does then perhaps it can be tweaked. Perhaps dueling in cities should not be outlawed outright, but maybe the stakes should be raised for players who choose to do it in cities? Add another dimension? Suggestions of guards getting involved or a bounty I would be on board with, maybe the player there of a different alliance could have even higher costs, risk being ganged up on, would also fit in with the immersion as I think its more realistic. Make dueling in cities have a cost to the player, currently I think it simply encourages many of the "hey look at me" type player and could be implemented better, not saying all people dueling in cities are those types, just encourages those that are, and do we really need to encourage that?

-I like the new difficulty, not having the CP rank above the enemy is pretty cool, but again I think some tweaks would make it better, maybe a small variance in the same types enemies, just like in real life, not all animals are the same in strength, cunning, endurance etc. I think it would be more exciting going into a fight having an idea of what to expect, but not entirely, you may be able to barely take out one mob of welwas for instance, but the next one might be a bit stronger, just a touch of an unknown experience. I also think the higher zones should still have a difficulty scale, just not nearly as much as before, a level 1 should still stand a chance against enemies in the later zones, but I think it should be a bit harder for them, so there is still a sense of progression and danger when entering into zones your character is not ready for

-Bugs, console users are experiencing the same bugs as PC users had to deal with weeks ago, I would have liked to see ZOS fix the known bugs in the weeks later it came to console, just does not make sense to me why it was left, what is the point in making PC users the guiney pig if the bugs that come up are not repaired?

Overall I think its a good step forward, I like the direction they are going, but it needs some work still.

Sure, but he does have a point. When I load into a busy area now it takes minutes before my UI fully loads. They need to divide the players out a little more or at least kill dueling in towns.

I am not a fan of the large quantity of dueling happening in cities right now. I also understand that it's a new toy. Just like we don't see piles of the same dead NPC on the streets anymore because the Blade of Woe lost its novelty, dueling will fade too.

In the meantime, I intend to do random normal dungeons to speed level my tank while the Halloween xp is still going on, and enjoy doing all the old veteran dungeons in their normal mode. This is going to make things so much easier to teach people mechanics for everything. I wasn't sold on this change, but they implemented it well, so I love it now.

The rest, I will wait for things to settle down. I am not going anywhere near Grahtwoot or Rawl'ka for a while, either! It just seems safer, to keeping my connection.

Only major issue I have so far is I couldn't join group chat while in a group yesterday, the group chat wasn't even listed. I am hoping that was a hiccup from the server load; if it happens again tomorrow when I can play again I will be putting in a ticket.

Unfortunately, the adage about any press good press is wrong. I so disagree with the Op no chance of ever checking out the source.

A thread about "hey 1t proc sets and what this means" would have gotten me to go look... but not now.

In my opinion, the only downside to the patch is the lag that has come with it. I'm not entirely a fan of the changes, as I am a solo player almost entirely and just cannot be social as much as people want me to be, but I have to admit after playing the last two days (giving it a honest shot) it isn't as bad as I initially thought it was (again, not concerning the terrible lag).

I was able to find a guild/group that didn't mind that I wasn't a social butterfly in chat. We just did our thing, earning skulls and leveling up. Also, I noticed the delves and whatnot where packed the first two days, but last night it seemed to get pretty quiet. I saw maybe four people in two hours. I think you should give it a longer try, OP. And maybe they will try to fix the lag issues, too.

(I think it is really childish and stupid that so many people here cannot face any form of criticism for this game simply because it disagrees with them. You all are just as bad as people coming here to complain about the changes because they don't like them. Their voice matters just as much as yours in this game. Being a solo player in an MMO doesn't change that—no matter how much you ridicule them.)
