Perhaps try logging in on an alternate character, letting it load fully then escape>log off. Next log in on the character you are experiencing difficulty with. I have trouble sometimes since update where if I leave the game while dead using the Quit Now option, when I attempt to re-log I get an infinite load screen until I do the above. For now I formally select log off waiting the 10 seconds then selecting back and quit to exit the game and this seems to not create any issues when re-logging in.
