I didn't even try to get into beta until near the end because of the rep of MMORPGs I had heard about for so long, only gave in because I was stuck recovering at home and because it was Elder Scrolls and I've never missed a game in that series.I have been around since early closed secret beta's that no one knew about other than some insiders. We only had one starting island to play on. I have seen this game grow, and have some growing pains along the way. But, it never really sucked, it just needed to be better. It's getting there, and I think it will be better next year than it is now. It has already gotten better by leaps and bounds.
There are some itemization issues with One Tamriel, in particular with Crafting Mats (divorce levels from the Mats, let us make our gear with any material in the game and let those mats spawn randomly across the zones). And, in any game as complex as this, balance issues need to be addressed, but that will always be a moving target (good reason to have a character in each class).
However, I would not be here after all this time if the game was not great. There are lots of good games out there, and I still play the older ES games, back to Arena and Battlespire, but this one is so far my favorite. Well, I do have some nostalgia for Morrowind and its go anywhere you want, but you might get your butt handed to you if your not ready for it with some places aspect.
I would like to see quest choices matter more, but those are hard to implement in a shared world as my choices are not the same as others. I would also like to see delves become instanced so that we can enter them solo or with a pre made group. Of course we could also enter them as we do now and have other players around if we wanted. It would be interesting to see how many would choose the instanced over the open concept.
Just my thoughts.
