You could try something like "ilambris (2pc), Red Mountain (5pc) and Way of Fire (5pc).
Weapons would proly be something like 2 Swords (precise, 1 fire enchant, 1 with returning stam on hit).
Skills would be...
Bar1:
Steel Tornado -> Resolving Vigor -> Bound Armaments -> Camouflaged Hunter -> Rearming Trap -> Flawless Dawnbraker
Bar2:
Hurricane -> Critical Surge -> Bound Armaments -> Camouflaged Hunter -> Liquid Lightning -> Shooting Star
Playstyle:
Bound Armaments always on. Start with buffing (First Surge, then Hurrican cause of the CD), walk to your enemies, drop a Lighning Liquid in the group, drop a Rearming Trap if youre in the middle of the enemies, and start spaming Steel Tornado (Weaved).
If your ult is up, switch to bar 2, drop Shooting Star, drop Liquid Lighning, rebuff, and switch back to bar 1.
Explanation:
Bound Armaments, Camouflage Hunter, and Flawless Dawnbraker should be clear. Just activate BA once, and only slot CH and FD for the passive Benefits.
Critical Surge is for your standard Heal, and Resolving Vigor if it gets critical.
Steel Tornado spam is for procing Red Mountain.
And Red Mountain, Hurricane, Liquid Lightling and Shooting Star are just for procing Ilanbris.
Personaly, i think about swithing the Way of the Fire set for Draugr Hulk since im playing a Khajeet.
Armor would be 5/1/1 (Med,Heavy, Light) for Undaunted passive.
Thats it. Hope you enjoy. And be critical.

Nope................... This is just a mess
Check out @Alcast build for stamina sorcerers. Great build with very good explanations.

Yeah, you might be building builds by yourself but you don't seem to understand the basics of the game mechanics (and class mechanics). In PvE there is not much room for variety. If you want DPS, you have only 2 or 3 set-ups where you are using everything to the max of its potential. In PvP sure, you can get creative, but PvE all classes use the same gear, similar abilities and similar rotations.
1: Ilambris is a magicka set. That scales of Elemental Expert CP tree. If you have any idea of what you're doing you'd have 0 in there. There are plenty of good stamina monter sets for stamina: Kra'gh (BiS), Velidreth, Selene, Storm Fist, etc.
2: Way Of Fire is a heavy armor set. Viper is much better in terms of procs and stats.
3: Your abilities are a real mess. Camo Hunter is useless as you can get that same crit buff from a potion. Liquid Lightning will hit like a wet noodle. Elemental abilities have their damage scale off magicka and spell damage, poison, disease and physical abilities have their damage scale off stamina and weapon damage.
This build that you are proposing is simply ineffective in every way.
@Martol neither of the 2 sets are any good.
If its purely for vMA, run Night Mother's Gaze or Twice Born Star or Hundings Rage as you main set. Then run Velidreth. Then run VO on jewelry and weapons.
Sunderflame is okay but only in trials. I'd suggest having both both NMG, Sunderflame and TBS for trials. That you can choose. But neither Spriggan or Automaton are any good in PvE. Its either TBS or NMG or Sunderflame.
Is the red mountain proc fire damage? Then it scales with magicka/elemental expert.
What abilities scale off used to be complicated. Now its easy. If it costs magicka it scales of magicka/elemental expert. If it costs stamina then it scales of stamina/mighty.
Elemental/magicka abilities and procs are not ideal for stamina based characters. They will generally be gimped because your large stamina pool and minimal magicka pool will not scale thier damage high. So stamina based characters use sets that increase weapon crit, weapon damage and stamina pool. and use weapin abilities and class/guild abilities that cost stamina and do disease/poison/physical damage to be most effective.
Same basic rules for monster seats and equipment set procs and effecs. You want them to be doing physical/disease/poison damage. Not elemental or magicka.
So.. like 5 TBS or hundings or night mothers or even somrthing like skirmisher with some agility jewellery and then velidreth/kragh 2pc will always be pretty solid setup on a stam character dps.

Then why do so many stam (sorcs) play skoria? its fire based also. Because even if its fire based, its mostly instaprocced on stam chars. And this is good burst. Same goes for red mountain. And it got a 20% proc chance. And RM can then proc ilambris fireproc. Just another way of using magic burst on stam builds. Just like nerienteth and skoria. And while nerienteth and skoria only benefit from the elemental tree, ilambris benefits from the thaumathurg perk too.

Red mountain also procs of weapon dots like hail and slashes every 2s. So just park a boss up and burn them 9k damage for free, viper just git something every 4s minimum 9k for free.
Velidreth we've all seen it's power 10k minimum. All these can crit too.
I've actually dropped VO for this set up on my stamblade.
But there is a set isn't there which boost all physical damage attacks by 400. Stam sorc is all physical Inc hurricane so look into that also.
But the above combo does monster damage. Land a Flurry of hits all at once with these procs and you've done over 70k damage from the off.
@defilade__ESO it does heal you with surge...

This is exactly what some people are complaining about with this game, your freaking armor set does 9k DPS, and all you have to do is be there for the inevitable proc.
The Vicious Death set has to be the best example of this new line of armor set stupidity from Zenimax.
Hurricane is the new line of class skill stupidity, where you get a long lasting, very low cost Swiss Army knife AoE, that follows you around doing almost 1k DPS, while making you move faster and increasing your spell and phys resistance by over 5k. A pity is does not heal you and make you immune to snares and stuns too.

with the Setup i described i put our 27k dps at bloodspawn (im on ps4 without buff trackers etc.) i can improve that by alot still.
The hurricane wont hit 1k dps lol.
It gives you More movement Speed which is awesome for 15 seconds + 5280 Phys and spell resist for 15 seconds
Hurricane gets stronger and stronger while its activated.
at the beginning it will hit propably for about 1500-3000 the longer it lasts it gets up to 225% Stronger.
the last few hits with it before it runs out hit 4500-6000 crit for me. so its far more than just 1k dps LOL
Critical surge and Hurricane is your bread and butter.
Crit Surge will buff your weapon damage by 20% and heals your for a high amount when u critically hit a target.
Your crit should NEVER GO UNDER 60% as a dps char anyway.
with 2 daggers sharpened and the setup i showed u above you should have something around 64,5 - 67% crit, depening what armor types your wearing.
(im using all middle by the way, give a *** about 6% extra stats, but i have more crit and more resources :-)
i was running 6m - 1h - 0l for a Long time, but sustain is just better with 7 middle.
Ist about you)
Crit Sruge can proc each second as far as i know. It also lasts for 33 seconds.
So u activate surge 1x and hurricane 2x, then surge again.and so on.
As you see as sorc u got 2 buffs u have to maintain, but they give you 5 boosts !! FIVE!
Hope this helps.

A proper Setup for maelstrom is:
2 Daggers as weapons ( both sharpened)
DW Bar: Vigor - Rearming Trap - Rapid Strikes - Rending Slahses - Bound Armaments - Ult: Dawnbreaker of Smiting
Bow Bar: Poison Inj. - Endless Hail - Hurricane - Critical Surge - Bound Armaments - Ult: Energy overload
Overload Bar: Vigor - Streak - Razor Caltrops - Dark Deal - Bound Armaments
I Prefer overload on 2nd bar, as i gain Access to more skills, by not losing dps :-)
I can just go to overload in between rounds and use dark deal to fill my Stamina, or put caltrops on ground which last 27 seconds anyway.
Everything is dead in this time lol.
My gear i use is: 5 pc TBC with 5 pc VO and maelstrom daggers sharpened.
If you dont have maelstrom weapons yet, juse use Lekis weapons, or NMG daggers, or whatever u like as 2 Bonus set.
Bow is Non-Set but who cares.
I always used a poison glyph on the bow for extra damage. and i can 1hit Mobs with a middle attack with poison inj. and the proc from glyph in maelstrom Arena. Try it out
For Daggers use + weapon damage enchante and crusher enchant.
VO weapons in good traits are really really rare. so dont waste ur time getting them. just use 2 NMD (cheap) or lekis daggers sharpened. (expensive)
Always use thief as mundus and if u wear Tbc, use thief + shadow.
u can also use Hundings Rage or night mothers gaze complete if you like.
All work in Maelstrom Arena
Hope this helps.
