Well, this thread started good with good intentions. I just had to scroll down a couple posts to see the flaming and arguing over maths. Does everything have to be a *** measuring contest with you spreadsheet warriors?

    @Kodrac

The game is built on math. It's a mere fact that the inputs into the formula determin the output. Gearing is a big part of determining how hard a skill will hit.

Seriously, gear as you want but do not come down on those that point out errors on the OPs premise because you want to ay differently that most effective possibility.

I do believe everyone should play as they want. It's why we have many, many guilds on each server.

That's nice and all, but you missed the point of my question... Does everything have to be an e-peen measuring contest? The hostility and mockery is ridiculous. It's just a game, man.

When a thread is created it is done to start a conversation. When that thread is based on a false premise and people rush expressing warm fuzzy feelings as though it's logic supporting he original false premise the conversation is bound to get somewhat testy when theorycrafters comment on their methods in response to comments that are directed towards the crafters methods.

It's life. It's what happens when those warm fuzzy feelings get involved.

If the thread was focused on trying to start a discussion about unique builds players had fun with but understood it was less than optimal things may have been different. Maybe.

Again, hey, okay as you want. Enjoy your game. Constantly seek to learn more. It's all good.

You and the mathletes are the only ones assuming its predicated on a false premise. That fact only is relative.
And in regards to theory crafters , i feel like they are just failed game designers lol, all this time and effort into a video game should only be rewarded with money , not warm and fuzzy feelings. That is what having a girlfriend / boyfriend is for lol.

The previous guy was correct, theres no reason to be hard on people and the fact of the matter is, this game is a diverse and ever changing pile of numbers and you can literally "Theory craft" all day, in makes no difference.

Im sorry mate but you are false. The meta is real and you will feel it wraith soon when more adn more people will start using it since Fengrush showd how strong his build is. But good luck...

you sound like you are trying to tell a ghost story to your little brother. This is a video game, not a cult following session.

but thanks for the luck i suppose good luck foruming

The numbers are simply a part of the process. Actual testing is also done. The theory in 'theory crafting' is akin to theory of the scientific process. You know, as in the Theory of Gravity.

It seems to be that you're completely lost with the notion that you can tell others how to spend their leisure time. There are actually people who make a hobby of 'running numbers', and frankly you don't get to decide if that is fulfilling or not. That's you projecting acquired fulfillment from another onto others.

You got caught not fully understanding to the comcepts your were critiquing and now your insulting others to distract from that. You're mistaken if you think people aren't able to see through the misdirection.

Well if you can tell me how to counter a black rose and viper 5 heavy stamina dk with shuffle, wings, and sword and board on my magblade I'm all ears

I would just ignore him. You can port to shade and cloak, and there's nothing he can do to prevent it once detection potion duration runs out.

    Apart from:

    Any aoe
    Caltraps
    Poisons
    If someone marks you
    Camo hunter

That's why you use a shade to teleport to first. Shade, run around a tree, port, cloak. No AOE will be able to hit you because he has no LOS on your position, and by the time he circles around you will be over the hills (cloaked NB with concealed weapon/major expedition from double take moves at mach 5). That takes care of everything except the mark, but we're talking about a DK enemy. Camo hunter detection radius is shorter than the shade port range.

The idea is to kill your answer is a cop out breaking line of sight and running/hiding is a counter to all builds.

The fact your going to be snared by 50-70% so your literally going to stand still and get no where.
The fact you'll be spending half your time healing because stamina can be tanks and damage with OP proc sets so even a light attack can take 50% of your hp nowdays..
    Etc....

But yeah, it's not like the wings will be up 24/7 , oh wait with heavy they are.
It's not like they counter everything a typical mag nb has... oh wait, swallow, light attacks, crippling, assassins will... it does.

Err you'll catch them via burst with your 4k crit swallows and there 27k + hp and 30k resist...

    Err GL i guess...

    #Balance.

    Concealed weapon?...

Have you tried using that on a heavy armored target it's laughable you need Lotus Fan and Cripple to help make it work. Now Lotus will bleed though block but perma wings stop all your big hits add that Cloak only stops DoTs when your are in Cloak you have to Healing Ward spam and Concealed Weapon spam a tank that can easily perma block with a Fear every five seconds.

Those are sheep, not people. Fengrush knows his stuff and makes quality videos. It's too bad more people didn't think for themselves and come up with builds and metas like he does instead of just copy and paste what they saw on youtube.

    @ThoraxtheDark

Facts are relative to the way things actually are.

Lowering oneself to attacking others in the forums is a sign of a lack of argument. I'd suggest keep my the discussion to the actual topic instead of attacking others.

As for theory crafters in game. First, they're often very successful in their careers. Second, they are often highly intelligent. And third, most important, they choose to discover how to play the game most effectively.

There is nothing wrong with adopting the play as you want style. Not everyone wants to be one of the best dps/tank/healer. Many enjoy running around tamriel with friends and enjoy having unique builds. It's all good, but that does not make it a meta.
