We have a fix in the pipeline that we're going to give one final test tomorrow. If everything looks good, then we'll roll it out to everyone tomorrow afternoon.

I take it this won't be happening?

Today's maintenance mentions a hot fix for Cyrodiil grouping but no mention of EU log in...

Sounds like issues affecting players on NA servers have priority, EU can wait.

Really? No one on the EU server groups in Cyrodiil. I did not know that.

Do we know if the fix for the launcher has been applied?

you missed the point, if the Launcher issue was on the NA servers the story would be a whole lot different

It does feel like that. The thing is that the EU gamer community is about 3 times larger than the USA (of course, it does not follow that the EU ESO community is 3 times larger). That said, do APAC users largely tend to log into the NA server? - If so that would explain its prevalence in ZOS' thinking.

I did not miss the point. I just disagree with you.

The other thing is that ZOS could be deliberating over the customer impact of fixing the launcher, when there could be many people who've unwittingly created chars and bought Store items in the US because they did not know they were bound to the US server. How will they migrate those people over etc.? How will they deal with refunds for Crowns spent on items in the US that do not appear on the EU server? Within the EU, virtual currency transactions are protected by the same laws as real transactions.

We could be witnessing some forward thinking from ZOS, don't laugh, it's possible!

This it is quite easy to bypass yes. If you are logging in as an EU player change the settings to the US server. Be sure to click E to accept and go back to the other screen.

Now go in and select the EU server.

This one has found she does not need to wait for the message to change. This is very quick and, though it would be better not to have to do this, this one finds it not too much of a problem.

I agree, but it should of been checked before hand. I'm not sure how this was missed! You can only assume they don't log in as a test!
It's also shocking that they roll out a fix and still fail to test the fix!
Although I imagine many people like me who have been here since lauch expect this type of incompetence from ZOS.

No, I doubt they are going down tricky paths like that. They messed up with EU login, multiple times. This is a failure in the "pipeline", not some evil scheme to get people to spend a few Crowns, stealth move people to NA, a preference for the NA players, or anything like that.

"Incompetent" is a strong word, but it is that category of thing going on. It is only incompetence when it happens repeatedly because they do not learn from it and correct it.

EDIT: Not saying they are incompetent. That category is "screwed up". Incompetence comes later.

Seemed broken when i logged in 30 mins ago.

Too bad... I have to loose 20 seconds before the log in only to switch server a couple of times.

I agree it's incompetence. I also don't think it's the people at the coalface; the coders. It seems clear to me this came about because they didn't test against 2 servers, and that's a management thing. "Boss, we really do need a second test server to test a lot of this EU/NA stuff against."

"Do you not realise we are running this operation on a shoestring so the CEO can get a new Ferrari this year? No way Mr Coder, you can make do with one, what could possibly go wrong??"
