That just reinforces it for me personally. Environmentally both of those are quite good. If you look close though, both BDO and MB have an insane amount of clipping in that oh so fantastic cloth and hair movement. The characters just do NOTHING for me. I just can't get into the anime thing.
If I wanted to stand on a rooftop, I'd play Assassin's Creed (again)

But you know why there is only limmited amount of clipping in ESO, right?
Cos its world famous "skin-painted outfit& armors" ;D
Or at least it use to be like that when ESO was still sub based
All of these are old 2014 thread about skin-painted armor "issue"
Answer for those were always the same: engine limitations, consoles&performance

For your dislike of certain style (anime or generaly "eastern") -its your subjectiv taste, have nothing to do with objective question about "the most beautiful MMO game out there"
Hey, first of all -theres no need to be angry over thisBouldercleave wrote: »
Seriously? The question itself bases ALL the answers on subjective taste. It's the only way that you can possibly answer the question.
The entire topic is 100% opinion. I gave mine knowing full well that not everyone will agree with it. That would be why I used the terms "personally" and "for me".

Second of all -no its not "opinions", its really simple
game A have dated engine, and is not up to max potential cos designers downscale it for console limitation
game B have most up to date engine, with awesome looking fabric, plants and hair, but it needs a MONSTER PC to look like this on player side.
You can argue all you want that game A is better looking, but ITS NOT in my opinion
thats just nature of things in my opinion
ESO is not best looking MMO there is in my opinion
Also - i in fact REALLY like how ESO look, especially interiors -like Thieves guild and even most Outlaw Refuges -they are absolutly stunning with all those painting and maps on walls, and all those fancy details.
On other hand - i really dont like how hair or fur in general look in ESO (and im exclusive monster race player in MMOs), or how basic mount animation is (where in Black Desert and other linked videos you can see how muscles of mounts work when you force them to run)
Peace
I forgot how ESO looked on computer. I played on Xbox One and thought it looks good to really good. Then I gave my PC a try again to test out One Tamreil. Oh MY God. I forgot how beautiful ESO looks. Since I never played any other games and I only see screen shots from other MMOs on magazines or online sites like IGN ESO looks so great. I would compare all other games to console ESO graphics. So is this true? Are games like World of Warcraft or what ever other MMO out there on PC, are they as beautiful as ESO or are their graphics like ESO on Xbox One/PS4?
Just curious to know since besides the first Guild Wars, I don't know any other MMO and only played GW for about 3 weeks. While that game is beautiful it's not as beautiful or a bit more cartoony now compared to ESO graphics.
I personally prefer Guild Wars 2's slightly less realistic style, it's like a 3D painting (you can literally see brush strokes in some places) over ESO's more realistic style, but both are beautiful games.
yes, they say that beauty is in eye of beholder.Bouldercleave wrote: »

Yet for me all you are saying is "Hey look at that crayon painting, of a house ,cat and little girl, it was done by my 2 years daughter. It is trully way more beautiful then Mona Lisa "
Is this true?
On subjective level -to proud father -this could indeed be true (that he likes daughter painting more then some old art)
On objective level: how about NO?
btw about "my opinions" -feel free to look in google for rankings of"Most beautiful MMOs" or " best graphic MMOs" and tell me how many times you see ESO
http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/top-10-best-graphics-in-mmorpg-2014-15-look-awesom-31316825/
btw -ESO is on other hand absolute MMO leader in best soundtrack, voiceovers and music, up to date.
Theres no other MMO where bards actually sing songs!

Not only that, but it's graphics seemed more fluid (the trees and grasses had more movement that made it more immersive). That said, I still choose ESO above BDO to play because it is far more enjoyable overall (imo).
Yeah, my biggest issue with ESO is the filler grass, flowers etc. Am I the only person that notices we only ever "see" one side of all the filler plants? If you pan your cam around grass it "spins" around with your cam... Once you see it you cant un-see it... Sorry guys
Its what they call a sprite.
3d mesh/models take up a lot of rendering time and graphics memory.
So a way to add lots of detail is to add what they call sprites.
This is basically a 2d image that rotates with the camera plane.
So it always appears as if you are staring at it square on when in fact its just spinning.
Its a trick to save massives amounts of memory over 3d and give massive speed improvements over 3d.
Its also used to remove/hide the typical checkerboard pattern of tiled terrain.
Black Desert's engine is way better, but ESO beats it in terms of visual design.
DMuehlhausen wrote: »Yeah no. Search screenshots for Black Desert
ESO looks good, but that game is on another level, if you can play at max setings.
Black Desert Online. Play that if you can on 4k. Sail into the sunsets, the storms are amazing. Its a gorgeous game that is definitely more beautiful than ESO.Is ESO the most beautiful MMO game out there? Bookmark
