Yes also if if you have litle ram on your graphic card its pretty funny how the texture get better after time as it loads the high quality textures, easy to see in populated towns.Cyrodil.
Armours are kept simple to improve performance in large scale PvP.

So. I went ahead and pulled an example of what he might be talking about
The details of the texture looks all flat with the texture. The leather band, the metal ring, the teeth at the waist, the rivets on the chest leather band, the loose cloth at the neck... it's all just flattened together. Rotating around the character makes it even more apparent.
Is that what you're talking about @EarthpacShakur? I've never really looked so closely and I think it would be cool if they added an option for more advanced meshes in the future for those of us with beastly rigs. I don't see why they couldn't have all the processing for that done client-side.
Would the hacks have any effect on the server side of the game? wouldn't all the hacks be localized to the computer & game they are loaded on?

I already corrected myself in saying that the meshes are pretty bad, not the textures, and his pictures prove my point. You can't see it so much with the heavy armour but if you look at the light armour you can see that the whole middle part is completely flat and the robe and belt across his chest are just drawn on.
That is what I was saying is bad. The character I'm levelling atm has heavy armour gloves and a light armour chest and both are just completely flat and level with each other as they are just the textures painted onto his skin. When you say you are wearing heavy armour I don't think you're referring to painting your skin a more metallic colour. You are wearing thicker armour than light armour and that should show up in-game.
Don't ***-post in my thread with broken english if you can't even be arsed to read the comments.

If all textures/meshes were clientside, then I could have see-through walls, highlighted armor for specific types of characters, overly large resource nodes, etc.
The ability to change the way that textures and meshes display on the client's end could provide huge (and unfair) advantages to less scrupulous players.
ummm maybe you should search for wow sets on google to refresh your memory tier .5 or 1EarthpacShakur wrote: »Even vanilla WoW had better glove textures than this.
If I remember correctly, back in Wrath of the Lich King, there were these little shards of ice that you could collect that gave a ton of reputation for a specific faction. They were small and hard to spot, but there was a client-side hack you could do that replaced them with a huge, obnoxious mesh to spot them easily.nerevarine1138 wrote: »Would the hacks have any effect on the server side of the game? wouldn't all the hacks be localized to the computer & game they are loaded on?

Are ZOS ever looking to improve armour textures at all?
atm when I equip some supposedly big metal gloves they just level completely with the thin robe I'm wearing and it looks awful. Even vanilla WoW had better glove textures than this.
EarthpacShakur wrote: »Oh I think I got confused then. I don't mean armour textures I mean armour meshes. I don't play on ultra but I have textures on high. Are the meshes still completely flat on ultra?
