I meant more as in both problems might be unrelated to each other directly, but they might both be related to ESO's shoddy memory management.Lava_Croft wrote: »Maybe these memory problems are related to the fact that trying to close ESO with ALT+F4 doesn't work. Nope doing the correct esc to quit and let it time its self out

After a few hours of gameplay, my RAM usage is at 75% or higher.
What is worse, killing the ESO64.exe doesn't solve the issue. I have to fully restart my PC to get RAM usage back down.
As stated before, it's usually most noticeable after loading into numerous zones.

Killing a process releases any resources it has tied up, so you have something else going on. The scenario you are describing is not possible.

Wrong, My charts running ESO up there prove other wise. Also I don't think you understand what a memory leak is.In computer science, a memory leak is a type of resource leak that occurs when a computer program incorrectly manages memory allocations in such a way that memory which is no longer needed is not released.
I can only play a couple hours at a time since the update. Game will crash and then continue crashing every time I attempt to log in. Takes a while before I can get back in again.

The game has been almost unplayable for me since update.
HP bars lag and don't change so I have no clue how much life enemies and other players have. I have yet to see the animations for Sun Fire and Dark flare. Apparently these two spells are now invisible. Slow down, lag (even when I set graphics to minimum). Glitches galore when I attempt to join a dungeon group...
Sometimes I wonder if I am on the same planet as these other players who are praising this update. I don't understand why it can be so smooth for so many - yet so awful for me.

did you try to reinstall? or make sure to run the game as admin?

The killer network service used for killer network cards has a serious memory leak.
The first thing you should do with network based memory leaks (if you have a killer network card) is stop/disable the killer service and see if the memory leak stops. This is a performance counter related issue.
I had this issue on the works server.
Transferring files over the network to high speed USB quickly led to freezing (running off virtual RAM)
When two virtual servers were running ...even with 16GB of RAM.
So...please check if you have a killer network card and have been recently updated to Win10 version 1607

I've tried reinstalling and repairing. I haven't tried running it as an administer yet though. When maintenance is over I'll give it a shot.
Also, my quest tracker no longer works either. So you can add that to my list of woes since the update as well.

But they said they used hero engine. Only, they build it into an entirely new engine from that. Really off topic.
