Them special chests are always unlocked. Some mobs spawn out of it, then you get a few hundred tel var, some random gear and sometimes a sigil of imperial retreat. The sad thing is, they take a long time to respawn, so leaving the chest there just makes it take longer

Naw man, you usually find 300-400 tel var in there. The sigils of imperial treat are super nice too and save you 10k ap.0 -

✭✭I had one of those this morning in Wrothgar. What puzzles me is that the chest probably contained some trash gear, some gold and the soul gem - now an empty soul gem is useful, but the trash gear would only be worth about 60g. I'd rather have the soul gem.0 -

Oh for sure, trash gear would be even worse to find. I do already have an infinite supply of soul gems atm, so when I see empty ones I just cry0 -
Quigster✭✭✭Mild necro here. I saw someone do this in Wrothgar the other day. I cleaned the chest out so it would respawn. Now, I hate to suggest adjusting game mechanics to accommodate the warped play style of every in-bread selfish *** doing this, but I suggest all chest and lock boxes be set to despawn within 60 seconds of opening.
