Adventurer's/Explorer's Pack treasure chest rewards

It seems these little chests have been forgotten when it comes to re-itemizing the entire game. I had already long since burned through my DC maps, but was saving the ones in pact and dominion zones until a good time. Today seemed a good time as any, so I pulled one out and went hunting.

Only to confirm my suspicions - the rewards from these chests, supposed to be something special to help new players, is anything but... all you get is about 2, blue-quality, traitless pieces of armor (I believe they're meant to be specific to build, so that's nice, but it's no help if the armor itself is worthless except to deconstruct).

I know this affects very few people, but still... these are now significantly less valuable than normal treasure maps, which almost always give a set item or two with the new changes. At this point it's hardly worth for me to go hunting for the chests.

It would be nice if the loot list for these was updated to closer match the rest of tamriel, instead of remaining forgotten.

I was saving mine too, I guess I'll hang on to them a little longer in hopes that they'll fix this.

I opened like 15 of the CE chests and ALL of them just had gold and 3 green or blue nonset weapons or armours

Good call. I had saved all mine after opening one about 6 months ago because the loot was that junk.

Now i guess i will save them a bit longer. Treasure map after all, one paid for by crowns, should be on the same loot table as the regular treasure maps/chests.

I destroyed all my CE containers. They were that useful. In fact, they're less than useful because the containers/maps take up inventory space. Even when i received them first time around on the Xbone I quickly sussed they were rubbish. When i rebought the game on the PS4, the first thing i did as soon as I came out the character creator and could access my inventory was bin them.

Lets be honest, CE loot and items suck in almost every game. I also suspect most of us didn't buy the explorers pack for the maps either. I got the explorers pack free the two time i've bought the game, but if i was paying crowns for it, the maps wouldn't have been a deciding factor.

As another member said, it would be marginal P2W if these did drop the same loot as the Treasure Chests. Should be once per account though to buy explorers pack.

But then again most of these treasure maps are easily found in game, or bought for 100-500 gold each. Either way, i would like to know from Z0$ whether the loot from these CE maps are meant to be junk or is this an oversight?. Means i would either continue to save them or straight delete them from my bag.

Regarding the OP; they weren't forgotten, as they're specifically mentioned in the patch notes:

The loot from the CE Treasure Chest maps now scale to your level up to CP160.
