Characters suddenly gone after playing in group vWGT - 161008-000597

I was playing 10 minutes ago in a group till I got bugged as I couldn't open any doors. I quit and tried to relog.
My credentials were accepted and suddenly I got the prompt that my computer was not authorized. I always use this computer.
After entering the code I checked the Live-EU Server. When going further I notice the very beginning start screen of ESO, like you play it the very first time.
All my characters are gone...
Why could I play and 5 minutes afterwards everything is gone???
Support ticket has been created, see subject.

smacx250✭✭✭✭✭It might have tossed you on the the US server - which would be why it asked for the code. Seems like the workaround they have for this problem isn't terribly reliable. Quit out and try the steps from the stickied thread again (and again and again).0
