The Undaunted Chests ARE Rigged

Now before everyone says, "Duh." or "Champ, what are you talking about?" Hear me out for just a moment. You are far more likely to get items with the prosperous and training trait, than any other trait. Some of you already knew this, and some may say it's all RNG. However, the RNG for this particular loot table IS rigged.

I myself opened around 500 keys (on Mac), and around 80% of what I opened was either prosperous or training. Buddies of mine and guildies opened tons of keys as well, and all of which experienced around the same ratio I have, with the majority having prosperous or training gear. I watched a few YouTube videos of people opening chests with their keys, and all of those who I watched ended up having very bad 'luck' with prosperous and training traits appearing. Even @Deltia suffered this, if that means anything. Lol. I don't know if these 2 traits appear so frequently due to the majority of people being below CP cap who play overall, or what. But, things are definitely not 'balanced' in regards to loot table RNG for Undaunted chests.

Note:
I haven't opened any chests on PS4 yet, as the newest changes/patch/update hasn't gone live for console players yet. But, I will definitely post my findings here upon discovering them.

I definitely got a majority of bad traits, those two being the most numerous. Thankfully, I got the Divines Kra'gh, Selene, and Velidreth shoulders I was after. I consider myself very lucky because of that.

Congratulations for getting those things in divines, as you're very lucky indeed. And yeah, the loot table is definitely sketchy. I don't trust it in the slightest, bruh.

RNG does NOT mean that all possible items have an equal probability. It seems they decided to make crap more common than decent gear.

Just another reason to avoid those dungeons . When they remove training from cp 160 loot tables I will participate then .

Believe it or not, the dungeons are less rigged on Veteran I think. I got more Divines, Well-Fitted and Reinforced drops in today's Veteran dungeons than anything else. Normal mode is a whole different story. Sturdy was the best drop I got today in nICP.

But aren't you guys spending those saved keys spending the gold ones ? Can anyone confirm the vet keys get more divines ?

All the keys are the same regardless of the pledge you do so the loot table is the same.

This was always the plan. People horde keys, so they make the chests weighted to junk, so people spend those keys. Then they come out and say "Oh, that's a bug, we'll fix it" and now no one has hundreds of keys to get the best items.

Well, the Keys are probably rigged. The dungeons themselves seems to be less so. I should have clarified what I meant there.

It's a different server. RNG could be set differently.

They probably are equally weighted on PTS as they know people drop a ton of keys testing drop rates, doesn't mean they can't change the weightings for live, same reason not to trust crown crate drop rates without published odds- they can be adjusted at will

Those are my thoughts exactly. Even though I suppose my samplings for evaluation are relatively small (perhaps), still too many people are getting junk for the amount of keys used. ZOS definitely must've done something with the loot tables for the live versions of things.

As ZOS is turning this game into a gambling simulator they should do what all ethical gambling establishments do:

Post the actual odds, post the RNG source code so it can be reviewed by an independent party. Every casino in vegas is required to post the odds of winning and the underlying game mechanics. This game should be no different. Talking about loot drops and loot crates here.

We call schenanigans. It's time for ZOS to openly tell us how their RNG works and if they're are any "weights" that favor certain traits.

ZOS you have great content. PvP has amazing replayability and with One Tamriel, the grouping/dueling/exploring opportunities are everywhere.

Don't make RNG your endgame, don't make Prosperous and Training Raid bosses. You and your game are better than that.

After my encounter with RNG opening chests since 1T's launch on PC/Mac, I don't think I'll be saving keys either. I don't know yet. I'm going to see what happens when I open the chests on PS4, and see if any 'luck' shifts for the better.

Im not using my keys until they get removed, I don't care if it ends up with 1000 keys in my bags....

I am not using them ...would be a waste.

I guess it works like fishing. You have RNG for what fish you catch, but some are far more likely than others.

I sometimes wonder if they increase the rate of crappy stuff from the chests right after a patch, then dial it down later, just so that all the key saver people dont get everything they want on the first day.

In my view the inclusion of decon trash traits at all in endgame loot is nasty, having them over represented in the loot tables the way they are is malicious.

The PTS comparison is invalidated. The PTS loot table did not contain the Impenetrable Trait. It is entirely likely that they purposefully mis-weighted the percentage chance to drop for Prosperous and Training while adding in Impenetrable.

Why?

Its obvious. Its just a stop gap measure to stretch the existing content and take up more of our time.

Maybe... but i wonder why i recently dumped 100+ keys in the chest and still have not found a medium OR divine velidreth shoulders...still rocking the only piece i've ever found - heavy reinforced

I have used over 150 keys over the last 3 days and have kept 6 shoulder pieces, 2 of them aren't perfect traits even.

I have always advocated that Zo$ prefers you squandering time to complete a build over playing with said build. A lot of mechanics are broken in ESO and PvP is a joke, coupled with the amount of cheating going on that isn't being addressed.
I cant name and shame here but recently an advocate of using Cheat Engine and who was caught using the 3rd party cheating software was unbanned after 2 weeks. nice work on making ESO more attractive to cheating gimps.

IF I do dungeons and get keys you better believe I am not using them at all until they look at this. Too many players are having the same issue with getting training and prosperous to have ZOS or other players just say "RNGezus isn't on your side". This must be a bug.

Emphasis added although the rest of what you said is spot on too. It's like ZOS thinks you will get bored and leave the game if you have what you want. I just want to have about 6 builds across 4 characters that I can play depending on what I feel like doing. I don't want to farm for a year just to get to that point.
